The birthday party is actually this afternoon. We had to wait for the weekend so people could actually be there.

The best presents he got were:

Forward facing big boy car seat.

DVD player for the car. Dual screen for him and his sister to be distracted on the road.

Those are a godsend. My grandson lives four hours away so having this in my daughters car makes the trip bearable. The only unfortunate thing is right now he's addicted to The Land Before Time movies so my daughter is suffering from burnout. Thankfully there are like 13 of them on DVD. 😎

Good news: Dentist said that my teeth are much better than I thought and he refuses to pull them and give me dentures. A few extractions (mainly wisdom teeth) and a root canal along with a deep cleaning and I'll be good as new.

Bad news: My insurance only covers the extractions. The deep cleaning and the root canal are going to be $1,500 or more.

congrats on your sons 1st birthday lance.

I had a root canal done while I was in college, it hurt to give up that much of my loan money. Funny thing, if i could have waited for my uncle to come back from vacation, I could have paid a third of what it cost me.

My extractions might be bumped to tomorrow instead of the 4th of April because someone cancelled. I initially turned it down because I didn't have a babysitter. I called them back about it and someone filled that spot, but they think someone else is going to cancel.
