The Grill was made afterwards, by a couple years I think.

I thought the original Blue Milk Bar was ditched and replaced with the Grill and then this was reborn... or something. It was too long ago for me to remember 😛

Can't remember either to be frank. There were a couple of great one. The Underwater Tavern (the original, a reboot is still alive in de GDF) was superb too.

I remember the original tavern, I think it was here when I first came on or maybe right after I had started posting.

Yeah, someone flooded it. Can't remember who.

Wasn't Dim involved in the shutting down of the older bars?

No...

I have such an emotional attachment to these forums for obvious reasons. Am I a traitor if I jump ship to theforce.net because their forums are a lot more active?

Yes. 😉

We don't serve traitors here.....

i remember people at tfn being really corny and stuck up. the kind that would laugh at you in a star wars convention because your jedi boots were not official replicas.

then again this was my impression from over 8 years ago, so your experience may vary.

Summer of 2004 I think, I practically lived my life on "The Temple" thread, originally called "Let it all hang out Star Wars Style." Now those were some good times, and hard to believe it was almost 10 years ago.

Ha! SMX, I remember you, from JP's The Rebel Alliance 😉

Hey there! I definitely remember you.

Pretty cool how a new SW movie on the horizon has sort of brought everyone back to the place where it all began.

I remember the The Rebel Alliance. I was on those forums for a short while, until I started college in 2006. Then I kind of disappeared for a couple years.

I make my rounds here when I can.

Good to see you again. 🙂

Yeah, I came back to see if the forums had experienced a Renaissance with the announcement of the new films. Not quite, but there are plenty of folk from Way Back When who've turned back up, which is nice.

Even on the TFN boards now, there are people reminiscing about the forums and the anticipation from the last time around and looking forward to Round 2.

It's strange for me - I was 13 when RotS came out and now I'm about to graduate from university.

Less than 2 weeks away from going on a 4 day vacation in California. It's doubling as my honeymoon (months late).

Six Flags Magic Mountain, here we come!

Have fun!

Hey SMX, good to see you again!

I remembered my password! Another 2 years of absence, I'm the worst...

Mini reunion?

I plan to!

Just had my van repaired so we can go. Went to get an oil change last week and we found out there was water in the oil. Ended up needing new intake manifold gaskets. Living in the desert sucks. Gaskets and anything rubber gets destroyed in the dry heat.

Luckily my dad is the owner of a mechanics shop so we had it repaired for cost of the parts alone. Saved me at least $400 since the job took almost 2 days because of a mess up with the parts store. They dismantled the engine to the point they needed, which took 3 hours...only to find out the gasket set they ordered was missing 8 pieces. Took another 5 hours this morning to get it put back together after they got the replacement parts. I owe the guys a beer or two.

Hit it!
