"hey if thats the way you are, fine...but you seem to like bragging about it as if its a virtue. i respect your honesty on the matter, but is it really something to declare with pride?"

None taken.

You are interpreting it as bragging and preach as a virtue. It's the way I am and I'm stating that. Not stating it in a positive or negative way, just stating it.

However, is it really a positive way to be, to care about people you've never met or will never meet? I don't think so. I don't necessarily think it's negative either, just pointless. Life is too complex to involve others needlessly. I concentrate on me and those I love/care for. I see no reason to do things any other way.

I appreciate the lives of those involved in my life, those I care about, those who impact my day to day existance, those I love. Why on Earth should I give two cares about someone I've never ever interacted with or will never interact with? Did you give a shit about me before this forum? Do you give a shit about me now? Probably not because there is no reason for you to.

hm... thats an interesting statement... and I think I agree

Indeed PVS is caring for others a thing you can be more proud of than not?

probably

caring for others is not something worthy of self pride, nor did i imply that...at all. bad deduction

Obviously it's a good quality to have but I just don't see the point unless they're involved with you.

I guess if like AC says someone close to him died Id b sad but I would get over it when the Alias episode finishes downloading.

But AC wasn't proud of it either so whats yopur point?

as he later stated, and i understand.
not every arguement is rhetorical, i asked something about him and he answered.

to simplify our discussion, it kinda went:

PVS: ac, you seem proud that you wouldnt help people you dont know

AC: actually i feel no pride about it

as far as my statement of how one should not feel pride in helping others, i was answering your question:

how is this confusing?

This thread should be closed. Hitler is rotting in hell and that is the end of it.

If any of you want to have a Hitler talk with real Nazis ( may them be cursed forever ) please go to http://www.stormfront.org

The Holocaust ( The worst crime in human history ) shouldn't be used to justify idiotic policies today.

When I say I feel no pride, I don't feel ashamed. I just feel it's a decision.

If this doesnt go back on topic in the next few posts, its getting closed. Clear?

Great.

Fine. Adolf Hitler was one of those characters in history who made such a profound impact on society that to mention his name is to start a heated argument. Then you have the morons who say stuff like, "OMG my granpa was in a concentraiton camp plz dont talk abuout wiii kthxbai".

Such a shame.

ANYWAY,

I have no problems talking about Hitler. I'm not gonna have some default hatred for him for what he did, although I acknowledge it as rather horrid. I don't get all that "My grampa..." stuff.

-AC

same here AC and I had relatives who were in his camps (survived however)

I had grandparents in the wars etc, they don't hate Hitler half as much as some of the people here do.

Anyone who went through the war, to one degree or another, wanted to just get it over with and move on. Best way to deal with it.

hitler was one of the smartest people in the world,a modern day world conquer it was just to bad he was crazy as well

Indeed. Hitler done more for Germany than anyone ever had or has. He was a great ruler and could of had a great empire. He just had some really bad ideas and was, well... crazy
