Banning of Philosophicus

I think he deserve a ban for acting that way, but lil and winddancer, you both shouldn't ban a person permanently... temporarily is ok... learn to deal with ways, as banning can't be the only right solution...

You people should know why he insult you... Nietsche is like his model, and by insulting Nietsche is like insulting his parents!!! What were you people thinking?? Offcourse he will use harsh words when you drove him to total rage by disrespecting Nietsche... I request you moderators to reconsider on his banning, and deal with ways more effectively...

First, you should have dealt with this via PM' s. Second, Philosophicus has been warned several times before and in the end, those lead to a ban.

But even if you are warned several times, you can't stand there closing one eye when your model/parents are insulted?

it doesn't matter one single bit peter; he got banned, get over it and if you can't: take it to PMs, don't clog the forum with it
that's how things are dealt here

There are other ways to express one' s disagreement. In the Religion Forum are members who defend their believes with as much passion though without handling it the way Philosophicus did.

Peter, I liked Philosophicus too, and I don'T think he deserved to be banned for what he did first, but I think that wqas only temporary, he got banned permanantly for socking.
And you should discuss that in private with the mods.

yerssot- Every member has the right to open a thread... and since I don't think I've open one thread in GDF, why can't it be now? The reason I open a thread is for other members to give their oppinions rather than just solving a problem.. you people will learn something from this too, won't you?

Storm- If someone or many people insult your boyfriend continuesly, what would you do? You would probably get very angry and use harsh words, or maybe just walk away(girls style)...

I don't believe that the moderators should ban someone just because they are insulted... That is not the role of mederators..

Well I agree, but in anyway, the permanent socking afterwards, wasn'T that good.

I personally belive, that there is nothing anyone can say on an online forum that would make me hit the report button.

That is another way.. the intelligent way... good for you, but sometimes it just gets out of hand when you are greatly insulted... like what those moderators did to philo...

The fact is that this guy will probably come back on the forums with a different user name and email address. We won't know, so get over it. I done that when I was a rowdy 12 year old on another message board.

I'm sorry for what he did, but sometimes a virus can only be cured if there is vaccine!!!

There is no reason to close this thread.. it is not off topic, and it's general discussion forum!!!!

He was justly punished, regardless of your personal feelings for him, he broke the rules.
