But it is not good for a child to live in a lie...

It is the same as lying for the benefit of the child.. which is better? safety or lying?? hmm...

strangley, i never really cared. weirdest part: i never found out until 11.

If I hadn't" met 5 and 6 year old kids who talked about sex, I would say it's too young. But unfortunately they do know about it from a very young age already.. they never learn about it properly they just pick up things here and there. My friend's younger sister strikes me as a perfect example. When I was about 12 or 13 my best friend had a younger sister who was I guess 6 or 7 at the time. She was absolutely the most perverted little kid I have met in my life. She would constantly make references to sex.. and she would go up to neighbors windows and try to peek at them doing it. She is an extreme example, most little kids aren't like that.. but from what I remember most little kids learn about sex at a much younger age then some believe.

I learned about it when I was 5... a girl who lived on our street and was in one of the higher grades told me and all of my friends about it. By the time most kids take sex ed (which is in 5th grade here) they already know all about sex. They probably don't know the risks, don't know the statistics for STD's, because knowing that kinda stuff doesn't make their friends think they are cool. They always learn the vulgar stuff first and then when they finally go to sex ed it's just a big joke. All me and my friends did in sex ed was crack jokes, we weren't interested in learning shit about sex because we believed we already knew it all.

i just liked watching the video.

lol everybody likes watching the video

A girl at my school was in tears once when she got kicked in the knee.... she thought she was pregnant.... when she'd asked her mum where babies come from, her mother said.. "its when a man kicks you in the knee..."

Hahaha.
At 12 years old, they should teach about it. Guys already know what most of the parts are due to kids being older and Playboy but they should still understand the reasons why.
I knew **** and such because I grew up with my older brother and friends who lived on the street who were 3 or 4 years older than I. Thats how I found it. But in school, I found out about birthcontrol and all that stuff.

how about gays? Are they advicable to take lessons?

I think not!!

You and I must live on two totally different worlds, because I almost never understand what you are saying. Please clearify what you're saying.

By that age they already know about it.

Well, my first sexual experience was at the age of 8. So, I can't disagree with you. But, I don't think they need to be taught about it in school before ten years old.

sorry...

That was just random.. I actually misunderstood the question, and ended up not understanding what I was saying... so you can say it's ๐Ÿ˜‚

I learned when I was around 10 or 11.

My school did sex ed in 5th grade, so I was 10 or 11.

I got told about it by my parents when I was about 8-9. That's the basics of it anyway, beyond that it's all "how things work". Which is nothing really.

just show the kids some playboys

I found out about it when i was about 7 or something i cant really remember never knowing about sex, and i havent a clue who told me although it wasnt my parents. We didnt really have sex ed in school until comp so i was about 12 when I was taught about it properly, but its a bit late by then.

The earlier the better in my opinion.

Nobody wants to discover porn and then be told by their parents "We did that". Better to be told by them what it is than find out in a possibly scarring way.

well the school should teach that because my parents never gave my a talk about that. I learned from school ariund 11 and i found it a tad funny.

I think teaching them like 2nd year of highschool is too late.. their harmones are raging as soon as they explode out of grammar school these days.. they should even consider a summer school for sex ed ๐Ÿ˜‚

when i was in like 4th grade they taught us about puberty, but not sex, my dad told me the birds and the bees when i was 10, i wasnt too young

I'm surprised to hear how late some of you learned... sex was the only thing we ever talked about in 4th grade.

Do you think it's 'normal' for children under the age of 10 to learn such things in school, or even kindergarten ๐Ÿ˜–?
Plz debate (I, for one, think it's wrong, they're too young)....

Education, education, education...If they are curious about it, it should be explained to them in a manner that is in context with their age.

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH OUR BODIES AND WHAT WE DO WITH THEM.
