Who says Hulk's strength is unlimited? This guy named Peter David who writes the Hulk's comic books. As I've shown in the pictures that you so detest, Hulk already surpassed Superman by a mile. 🙁 Sorry to dissapoint you.

Interesting theory. It is true, that whenever Superman and the Savage Hulk fight in a crossover, it either ends in Superman and Hulk teaming up, or Hulk reverting to Banner. Superman is more powerful than Hulk, and Hulk isn't unstoppable. He's pretty one-dimensional, while Superman is very versatile. If you need muscle, Hulk's your man. Superman has muscle, speed, flight, heat vision, super-breath, and brains. Hulk just has more muscle than Superman. A lot more.
