As for genius lyrics, I don't buy CDs for lyrics. I buy it for music. No other band could make a Mr. Bungle album, ever. They live out the very purpose that music exists for.

Don't see what you hope to achieve by picking out the lyrics either. They're not meant to be ultra superb. Infact, if you look...they have incredible lyrics. Some are just hilarious.

So you didn't prove me wrong. You think they are good, I think that's underrating them.

😆 Their songs are just insane.

They're amazing. While they do have funny songs, many of their lyrics are truly disturbing and creative.

reason i said it in the first place...faith no more first released i care a lot in 1985

mr bungle first release was the wrath of the easter bunny in 1986

did realise that patton never joined the band til 88...my mistake...

as for the lyrics thing...im not trying to say they are brilliant or shit...but they are a piss take...plain and simple

I have to agree with AC Mr. Bungle is probably one of the most innovative original sounding bands out there since Frank Zappa.

Yes. I don't think anyone could argue that they're not at least one of the most original bands of the past 15 years, whether they like them or not. Definitely an acquired taste, definitely not easy listening... But still very good.

I think they actually are easy listening once you get used to them. I'm always wary of people (not you) that say they like bands who remain uneasy to listen to- perhaps something's wrong in that case.
