Aliens and Life in other Worlds [Merged]

As cool as it would be if we had visits from outer space – there is no evidence, no proof, no nothing.
There are lights in the skies – UFO’s – but they’re just that. Unidentified Flying Objects – and that does NOT mean they’re flying saucers.

It would be impossible to hide something as historic as “First Contact.” Someone convince me how a government agency would put a lid on THAT, how not a single investigating reporter would find out or a single agent spill the word.

Sure, there is probably life elsewhere out there. The latest Frank Drake Equation calculation I saw placed some 450 intelligent civilisations in the Milkyway – but that’s among 200 billion stars. So only one in 444 mio. stars would have such a civilisation.
How’d they even know we were here?

Typical human geocentric view of the Universe I guess.

I'm not voting. I'll keep an open mind, but it has not be proved or disproved to me, so I cannot say if they are or not. Being a Phile, I have to say that the whole subject is entertaining to me, including people discussing if 'aliens exist' and things... so do continue 😄

I actually think its quite ignorant if someone says there's no such thing as 'aliens'. If u think of the millions and millions of galaxies which each contain billions and billions of stars, i mean if even half of those stars had planets circling around them and half of those planets could support life and half of those planets had advanced civilisations on them. Well thats still a lot civilisations out their capable of making contact. everyone should believe in extraterrestrials its just absurd not to.

I personally feel that earth hasn't been visited by (many) 'aliens'. And we haven't made contact, u just can't cover sum thing like that up. As said in this thread why would they want to make contact if they could, What would they gain out of it?

I say the best way of going about it is radio signals. Our planets radio signals (t.v and radio etc) have gotten about 60 light years across our galaxy but still no luck (to our knowledge). And with us on the look out its really only a matter of time. 1 year, 10 years, 1000 years or possibly we will never. We may destroy our selves before ever making contact.

That’s just absurd. It’s very likely that life has developed on planets around other stars, but until we have proof – then we do not know.
Maybe the Solarsystem is special? It’s not enough for a star to have planets to assume life. Gas-giants are too turbulent to allow molecules to gather into complex forms and then into life. Carbon is the most abundant of the atoms in the Universe that can make long chains with other atoms. But it needs a solvent to do that – the best is water. So you need liquid water… That means you need a rocky planet in the proper distance from a star, that doesn’t burn itself out in a few million years.
That already removes countless stars from the “possible life” list.

Who says the aliens even listen on something as old-fashioned as radio-waves (not radio-signals. Radiowaves is a frequency of light, nothing to do with radio as such). If we distribute the Drake Equation calculation evenly among the stars you have to pass millions and millions to find one with intelligent life. The galaxy is some 100.000 light-years across.
Do the math.

Any extraterrestrial life form would be so utterly unlike any terrestrial life form as to be totally unimaginable - and they wouldn't be building terrestrial style crafts. The UFO idea is just a myth like the mothmen and things like that.

Why shouldn' they be?
Nature has shown, that "this" shape, ours, is a pretty useful one to bring about intelligence.

Well there's a huge diversity of terrestrial life forms alone. To assume that there would be any similarity at all between any of them and any terrestrial life form is like going to the arctic after visiting the desert and assuming the life forms there would be identical to the camels, lizards and things 😖

I believe that somewhere out in the infinite universe there is some other intelegent life, it's almost impossible for their NOT to be.

However, I don't think there's little green men flying around our planet abducting drunk truckers and putting things in their ass.

Nice photographs, but very likely fakes. The UFO can be easily fixed, I've seen the alien autopsy before, regret to say that's definitely a gag pulled by some doctors in reaction to reports of alien sightings.
The scull is most likely man-made, look at the teeth, they're too crude.
Still a fascinating subject which has my interest as well. Keep bringing those photo's on and I'll see if I can find some myself.

Of course they're working on secret aircraft that they can't tell anyone about, so they deny any claims of people spotting them to cover up.

OMG, no way, humans make em'. they came out on this tv show and showed how they made them...they are beyond the worst aliens hoax ever...these people used boards with a string attached to both ends and stepped on them and it will bring down stalks of the crop, they also use gps to get the shapes right, it isn't really that hard with all of our technology.
