He didn't serve during the Spanish American War (1898). He was still a kid. I think you're referring to that Puck and Wolverine adventure (1937), but Wolverine wasn't suppose to be in that scenario (time travel changed the past).

batman overall is a better martial artist and is smarter. Wolverine has more rage and will keep coming at you until you stop him. This could prove to be wolverine's downfall as he will lose his focus and batman taers him apart. Batman is probably the stongest human in comics today.

Wolverine wins this fight because he has Claws. Plus he has healing Factor that will be very useful.
And even if they fight in night time Wolvie will just smell him and know where batman is coming.

Logan doesnt run into the fight like a maniac cuz of arrogance, he runs in like a maniac because he is a maniac.

I've almost never seen him be arrogant, except for the situations where bad guys are all like "die, Logan" and hes all like "no, beeatches, eat me" and then they all get squished. But every superhero does that. 🤣
