Thanks for that 🙂 . Glad you enjoyed the story so far; I'll finish it soon ...

I suspected as much 😛 ...

Alright, then. Here's what you've all been waiting for! The conclusion to my "epic" story 😛 ...

Emperor raz stood tall and proud, his face positively beaming with glee. All around him, kneeling humbly out of respect, were Clovie and all of the former emperor's bodyguards. For several seconds, they continued to chant, louder and louder each time: "All hail emperor raz! All hail emperor raz!"

After a few moments, however, raz' ego trip was over. He looked upon Clovie's beautiful face and, upon seeing her smile, his own grin quickly disappeared. He cleared his throat to speak:

"Everyone, please! Stop what you're doing! Please, everyone ..."

His subjects continued to chant, seemingly oblivious to his words ...

"People, please! Will you just ... please just ... QUIET!!!"

Upon hearing this sharp and unexpected command, everyone suddenly fell silent. They all looked up at raz, slightly taken aback, waiting to hear what he had to say. The emperor began:

"I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I am moved beyond words by this kind and generous gesture. But ... I am afraid that I cannot accept this postion. I respectfully decline the role of emperor!"

Unsurprisingly, all of a sudden everyone gasped in shock and confusion ...

"For years, I served loyally under the evil tyranny of emperor yerssot! Until today, I never questioned him, and I never tried to stop him - not even once. For all these years, I have been more than just a coward; I have been nothing more than an accessory to murder, deceit, and downright wickedness! I am not fit to lead the KMC as I once did, many years ago. And even then," he chuckled, "I merely served as a puppet, a slave to yerssot's orders". He continued: "But there IS someone here who IS worthy of that title. Someone noble and courageous. Clovie ..."

With those words, everyone - including raz - suddenly turned to face Clovie. The faces of the emperor's bodyguards were scrunched up in anticipation; Clovie looked absolutely dumbstruck!

"Clovie," raz continued, "I am not the real hero of this story. That honour ... falls to you. If it were not for you, then I would never have found the courage within myself - as you did - to fight the emepror. And no one could deny that you were far braver than I today. After all, I was yerssot's most trusted lieutenant - he would never have suspected me of turning against him. Heh," he laughed, "not even I thought that I would before today. I was just a fool with a ray gun, and possessed an advantage that you did not - the element of surprise. I was never in any real danger; but you ...

Again, raz quietly chuckled to himself.

"Let's just say that it would take a much braver person than I to stand up to the emperor of the KMC himself! A man who, for over 50 years, amassed unrivalled power, and boundless wisdom! And what courage it must have taken to engage him in lightsabre combat in front of no less than 12 armed guards!" You ... were magnificent!

"And her bravery," raz continued, as the bodyguards still listened in rapture, "is not just limited to this day. Oh no. For years, Clovie, you never wavered in opposing yerssot, no matter what the danger might have been. Though you may not have done so by verbal means, in spirit it was you more than anyone that kept the KMC rebellion alive since Ahnold's death. Of all the members here, none commands more respect and admiration than you. And on a personal note ... you have always been a most kind and loyal friend to me. And I thank you," raz continued, his voice starting to break up with emotion, "for your unwavering compassion. And ... for saving me. I can think of no better person to lead us all as we enter a glorious new age for the KMC. All hail emperor Clovie! All hail emperor Clovie!"

And with that, raz knelt before Clovie, and pledged his undying allegience to her. Moments later, each of the former emperor's bodyguards followed suit, and bowed before Clovie. The chant which raz had started grew louder and louder as the bodyguards individually began to join in: "All hail emperor clovie! All hail emperor clovie!"

Clovie was visibly moved by what was going on around her. Though her eyes had already begun to water during raz' uplifting speech, now the tears were openly streaming down her face. She cried out of pure, unbridled happiness. The evil empire that had choked the life-force out of the KMC for over half a century was finally dead; her ongoing struggle - and that of others like Ahnold - had not been in vain after all, a pessimistic view that she had recently begun to hold. And now she would be the one to lead the KMC back to freedom, and back to glory. She would be the one to restore peace and justice back to the forum. And the euphoria that accompanied these feelings ... was indescribable!

A huge grin crossed Clovie's face. She turned to face raz; he smiled sweetly, looked into her eyes, and quietly mouthed: "no ... thank you."

She bowed her head ... and lifted it back up, her long and flowing hair now adorned with a beautiful crown encrusted with jewels of every sort - sapphires, emeralds, rubies, and diamonds, to name but a few. We are now seeing her 2 weeks on from that fateful day at the graveyard, and she is sitting upon a throne of solid gold, within a vast and lavish palace. Below her, beneath the seemingly endless steps that led up to her throne, was every member of the KMC, all lined up across dozens of rows, each of them chanting over and over: "All hail emperor clovie! All hail emperor clovie!" It is her coronation ceremony.

And standing out amongst the faces ... is the emperor's newly appointed apprentice - raz. He winked at her from within the crowd ... and she slyly winked back ...

The End ...

Or is it? According to Angelina Jolie in "Mr. And Mrs. Smith", a story with a happy ending is merely one that isn't finished yet - and she was right. For you see, dear readers, there is a fiendish twist that concludes this macabre tale ...

To Be Continued ...

omg touched i dunno what to say... it was tooo nice bag

what continuation? that i'll be killed? 😬

Clovie's grand coronation was coming to a close. Within the masses assembled for the ceremony, every face within the crowd belied optimistic joy, and hope for the future. Every member was happy - all except for one ...

As Clovie finally exited the grand throne room {with raz and other officials by her side}, one member at the back of the crowd muttered angrily under his breath, his twisted face revealing clear disgust with the proceedings. He quietly slipped out of the palace doors - the first one to do - and gently pulled the black hood of his ceremonial robes over his head. He then proceeded to run at great speed down the narrow, empty back alleys of the KMC, the rain lashing and pounding his face all the way ...

Eventually, he reached a vast, abandoned building. The mostly wooden structure stood at 13 stories high, yet was clearly dilapidated, and looked as if it had not been occupied for dozens of years. Stealing a quick glance over his shoulder {to check that no one had followed him}, the mysterious hooded figure then suddenly ripped off an innocuous wooden plank from the front of the building to reveal a hidden dial within the space the plank had concealed! Having turned the dial to a specific number of degrees both clockwise and anticlockwise, another innocent-looking wooden plank from elsewhere on the front side of the building suddenly blew off from the wall, exposing a hidden control panel! The mystery man then hurried over to the panel, and curtly entered a specific numerical code that he had clearly entered numerous times before. And with that, the front door of the building swung open!

Having first replaced the 2 wooden panels to their rightful locations {so that they once again concealed the dial and the panel}, the man quickly entered the building {closing the door behind him}, his face revealing a clear sense of heightened trepidation, and anticipation. Making his way through the dark and rotting building {that was still damp due to flooding years before}, he eventually arrived at a door encased ... in titanium! It clearly and eerily contrasted with the rest of the decor ...

WHO's THAT??????

The mysterious figure stood before the door, as he had done so many times before, and gulped. He sheepishly tilted his head upwards, his eyes finally coming to rest on what appeared to be a camera just above the threshold of the door. It was partially concealed in darkness - and deliberately so; that way, the only people who would see it would be the people who knew what they were looking for. The hooded figure trembled in fear with the knowledge that his every move was being watched and scrutinised with the camera's night vision. Finally, he cleared his throat, and opened his mouth to speak.

"My master! It is I, Bane! I have returned! Please ... let me enter! We have much to discuss!"

After a few moments of waiting {which, for Bane, as always, felt like an eternity}, a gruff, yet oddly familiar voice boomed over the intercom speaker concealed within the camera.

"Enter!"

And with that, the impenetrable titanium door suddenly swung wide open, basking Bane in a brilliant white light that, for several seconds, blinded his sight, and caused him to conceal his face in his hands. The sensation passed, and Bane then nervously strode into the room ...

Inside was an elaborate and vast laboratory, filled with test tubes, bunsen burners, and all manner of scientific equipment. Many brightly coloured liquids bubbled quietly through an elaborate network of beakers and tubes, and static electricity frizzled ominously from a generator at the centre of the lab. And to one side of the lab, arranged in rows, were a number of large jars filled with a murky green liquid. Suspended in each of the jars was a blob that looked eerily ... human - almost like some sort of child ...

And in the corner of the laboratory was a robed and hooded man dressed in black, partly hidden in the shadows ...
