People have always prayed in public. They talked with reverence when they talked about God. But men didn't kiss in public, nor women.
It's only been since the 60"s that people have aggressively changed.
No you can't pray in public and a man can kiss a man. It's amazing what can happen in 40 years. What will the next 40 hold for us open minded people.

You said "as long as no one crams their beliefs down my throat" which is exactly what you are doing. Just because it says something in the bible, doesn't mean I have to go by it. I personally believe that if you're willing to be told how to live by a man no more blessed than you are, wearing a funny costume, then being told the same thing by a gay man isn't gonna be any different. As long as he's telling you what you go there to hear why is it any different? Because he's showing you that being gay isn't actually a sin like your religious peers would have you believe?

Actually Im not shoving my beliefs down any ones throats more than anyone else here is. I gave a reason for my opinion, and peopoe started questioning different aspects of it, so I gave reasons for those too. Never did I sayy "Youre wrong, I'm right." or anything along those lines.

You aslo said that its strange how its the people that pray in public that dissaprove of gays kissing in public. I dont think thats sstrange at all.

Too many people view this as a theoretical part of the guaranteed rights of every citizen of this country. And for some reason, the people who view this a theoretical are running the country these days.

What I dont understand is WHY WHY WHY do gay peoplee want to be priests? WHY do they argue with a religion thats thousands of years oldd, and WHY do they argue with stubborn old priests that will NEVER accept gays in the church even if they are made to at gun point? WHY be an advocate of something that essentially completely dissaproves of whhat you stand for? If gay people dont care what the church believes or what other people thinkm which is something Im hearing a lot of, thhen WHY do they strive to gain influece in the church? If they are so "I can be gay, I dont care what anyone thinks." then why dont they just be happy with what theyve gained in the last 40 years? Theyre reguarded as valued memmbers of society now, as anyone eelse is. People are gonna say "They want acceptance" Well they already have it. People are gonna say "No they dont, look at the number of gay bashings" Well I say look at the number of other minority bashings annd compare. Its just gay bashiungs are more out there for the world to see as faras media coverage goes.
