The whole basis for the argument is FALSE.
If storm's powers worked as psi in the sense that it would be hampered by certain frequnecies of EM, then she would not be able to do any of the things she does given the nature of her powers as the forces she fosters would act in direct opposition to her.
It's a foolish premise.

It wasn't really that old by the looks of it, but the thing is the Storm herself states that she always had trouble controlling the power of small devices. She attempted to do it and she passed out.
Iron Man's systems are nanoscopic so whats going to happen then, her head'll explode?

Nowhere did she state she had problems with small devices. She said she never tried to control that many infinetismal varieties of energy, which is PIS (Uncanny 165-166 anyone??)
