My highest level character is now 30 and had an incredibly large amount of gold for his level(without ouside help or other gold transfers), before I pissed away about 20g or so of it away.
I am used to buying stuff at Orgrimmar for low prices and auctioning it off for considerably higher in the auction house. It's how I got my way up to 33g.
On one of my mail checks, I discovered that several auctions had sold successfully and was in the process of taking the money in.
1g for the green leather shoulders(27) I sold. Excellent.
1g, 50s for the staff(27). Wonderful.
35g for the blue axe(30) i sold earlier. Ooh, nice.
85g for the stack of wool cloth i sold earlier. How magnific-
....85 gold?
85 gold? For a measly stack of Wool?
I cautiously add the money to my overall savings. And in the space of 45 seconds, I go from 9g, to 126 gold.
It is a very odd feeling.
I smile happily and move on, financial problems out of the way for a very long time.

Yep.
I did the lvl.30 Warrior Quest. Cyclonian. It required me to go to Stranglethorn Vale, Arathi, and Dustwallow Marsh to pick up a few items, although I was able to avoid DWM and simply buy Liferoot from the AH.
When I got to Arathi, I found that the things I needed to kill for Quest Items were red-leveled and so I enlisted the help of a 38 shaman, a 37 rogue, and later on, a 38 mage. They were all reluctant additions at first.
However, we became attached and stayed long past their original vows. Finally we got all the charms I needed.
The shaman even logged back in as his 60 hunter and joined us. We killed Cyclonian pretty darned fast, but his pet(60) got aggro and got 1/3 of its life taken away.
They all were genuinely happy for me when I finally got the Whirlwind Axe I wanted. 😄
