Personally I liked Suaron as the main villian, his name alone bore fear into all hearts. No one can stand before him... literally. But the movie overall began to downplay him from the epilouge, The Nazgul even looked strangly like a joke, (beinning defeated by water and a single king with a stick on fire) when their presence alone transmitted Saurons influence and fear onto those before them. Saruman only had his voice and charisma, mearly an opportunist for the moment, too niave to truely be the main villian. "We can work together mentallity" He especially gets mad when Gandalf down plays his position with "There is only one Lord of the Ring and he does not share power"
