Darth Maul vs. Kyp Durron

i agree that his wisdom did increase over time but not his mastery of the force. if it really had he would be a lot better than say palpatine

Durron is pretty freakin good. I wouldn't be surprised if he was able to stand against for Yoda for at least as lo0ng as Obi-wan did against Dooku.

thx for the agreement but read any other yoda vs palp fight and you'll see why he lost the fight and also mastery over the force doesnt make you a great warrior.

he lost the fight because he was not strong enough to win that is all there were no dissadvantages. you can notice that palpatine can force throw lots of scenery at one time while yoda has to use all hi might to stand up against it

it's always herd to stop somthing being hurled at you then to actually throw it yourself.

like it's easier to get upset or mad than to stay calm and be sophisticated.

lol kyp would waste maul so fast he pretty much beat luke when he was a trainee (with alittle help from kun actually quite a bit but still he was chosen by kun who noes power when he sees it) and also even if maul hit him he could just heal himself like he did in champions of the force

Tommy, you obviously know very little of Kyp Durron. And anyone could see that Sidious took the advantage of ground in his duel with Yoda, and still only just won.

Please...

Durron would defeat Maul. Not only that Durron had enough potential to throw Luke through an entire room when he was just testing it - he had also experienced the dark side under Exar Kun studying some Sith powers. Now he was (in JA times) strong enough to:

a) lift an spaceship out of the high gravitation of Yavin
b) nearly kill Luke Skywalker with a force lightning attack - at least he seperated Luke's spirit from his body.

Now we can just go by logic. Sidious was stronger than Maul. Sidious was not strong enough to kill or nearly kill Luke. Kyp Durron did so. Hmm...that makes me think that Kyp is > Sidious who is > Maul.

And I think we are talking about NJO Kyp here who would have gathered more than a decade of experience (lightsaber combat, force knowledge) since the Jedi Academy times.

Maul loses here.

Even though kyps annoying and even though NJO is extremely gay in ways that stun me every time i think of them he wins, i'm too tired to list reasons at the moment, i'll pursue it further tomoroow should need be.
