Nihilus' mask was gonna be Revan's skull? Did he defeat him in combat or sumthin?

It was just a pre-production thing.

Obsidion wanted to do it but would have caused a lot of sh*t so they didn't.

Presumably he beat Revan in a duel.

It would lose all impressiveness if Nihilus snuck up from behind and broke his knees then beat him to death with a club.

Imagine it. A Force duel where Nihilus, one of the main enemies of this game, killed the hero of the last game and wore his skull sa sa momento.

Intimidation!

Not to mention it would ruin a lot of potential material for the 3rd installment.

Well if Nihilus di beat Revan and took his skull all the fanboys would probably shit themselves.

Also, Kreia "flat out" saying Revan is more powerful than Nihilus.
