ignorance by defination states that one does not know a thing, where when one is stupid or dumb is self explanatory...hence by stating that "Americans don't know what flats are, etc"...that is saying we are ignorant of that fact...
however since i had to explain myself so that we are in some ways in agreement of said understanding of my defining an unknown quantity multiplied to the 10th level subsection yada yada yada blah blah blah....
