The problem with teaching 'The Theory Of Evolution' :
1. It's a theory, and was a theory, so why teach it?
2. Most people would believe it anyway because it's the only theory which they have heard of.
When we are little (3 years old) we start learning science, this is told by adults whom we depend upon at that age, and if through the whole of our life we have been brought up by science we will begin to trust science too, then evolution comes in. Because you have been brought up knowing hardly anything about a gods existance you don't trust it, you only trust science where the only answer is evolution.
So you might think that you haven't been forced to believe in evolution but your mind has fitted itself into evolution.
I on the other hand have been brought up through my whole life having the belief in god, so the effects of evolution do not work on me.

Most Christians don't like the truth of this, so they allow the exception for God as a fact that cannot be proven. This is uneven handedness. So why teach a theory? There are only a small number of things that can be proven, if we only learned these provable things, we would have no inventions and we would still be living as hunter-gatherers. Theories help us bridge the gap between imagination and fact to make our lives better. This is true with evolution and with God.
2. I was brought up my whole life having the belief in God. At first I didn't believe evolution because it had too many problems and I didn't understand the theory. As I grew in knowledge I saw how evolution really works and it's not how your parents tell you it works.

High school will not teach evolution correctly.
For me, there was no out of the blue. Evolution does not contradict God, all the it contradict is the interpretation of God by some people.

Well then, that was my point all along, if you would have been brought up by a christian family you would be more likely to believe in god and if you were brought up in an atheist family then you are most likely to be atheist too. So don't go saying 'I believe in god because of my parents and they believe because of their parents etc' because it also applies to you.
