You just described to me the primous of anything. What doesn't have a set of things that we believe and wish to be certain of. Take for example, this David Iche, he is nothing more than a religion descised as science. Becasues he sets forth a set of things (ideas) that you and others like you wish to believe. You have great faith in your religion, and if that works for you, why would I put you down. I just want to warn you about arrigance, you are no better than everyone else.

I have to agree with you.I think the problem is some of the people who are on this thread see religon as a creation to brainwash men and to control people.This can't be any farther from the truth.Religon liberated man and kept everything open.It was only later that religon transformed into what it is today.Part of this is due to all the violence a lot of holy books contain that where purposely put in.

So, in a way, religion is a two edged sword. I think that religion is a natural human activity. It has been shown to spontaneously appear.

but isn't teaching religion to children brainwashing? The parents want their children to have the same morals as they do..........so they teach them to their children with an all powerful/invisible god.........who will constantly watch over them every second of their lives to make sure those children uphold to the same morals as their parents.
maybe not as originally intended.........but religion has existed as a control mechanism for a very long time. Take two of the biggest religions.....Christianity and Islam. Christianity was widely spread by the Romans..........who used it to control the masses......after all, one large group with the same beliefs is a lot easier to control than the hundreds of different pagan cultures with varying beliefs......hell, look at Iraq today...........at this very moment they are still drafting their new constitution around Islam, using a religion to control the behavior and rights of all.

no, religion attempts to find no truth, david icke does. and he doesnt force it down throats like religion does. if read his information it is because they have chosen to, and there passion in finding out the truth leads them to many discoveries.

Possibly.But people can wake up from what their taught.I think religon is embedded within our human brain.We need it to function.Hell,even the people who don't consider to be religous are constatnly talking about religon.we can apply brainwashing to just about anything though.I don't think teaching kids to belive in God is bad terrible thing.I certainly wouldn't feel bad about telling any kids I would have about God.Now if I raised kids to become suicide bombers I would feel extreame guilt.
Now we might not need religon to function as a society or maybe we do.until we attempt a completly religous free society we will never know.But then we would just be brainwashing our kids to not belive in God or anything else.I suggest raising kids with good morals first and then adding the possibility of religon latter.I was raised baptist and a bit of Catholic (I know it's weird) but my parents where always completly open with whatever religious path I chose.The more I think about this the more I realize that the Gnostics realy had it right.From the beginning they knew we had to wake up from this mess of life and break the circle.

It's the same sort of thing as teaching evolution in schools 🙄
how? evolution is taught as a theory...........it's even in big bold print in the text books........theory of evolution...........how can teaching an idea and letting people choose whether they believe it or not be considered control?
oh yeah.......you're christian, I forgot. Nobody should be taught differing ideas and letting them choose for themselves what to believe...........everybody is supposed to simply believe whatever their parents believed........because their parents believed it.......because their parents believed it.....so on and so on back in time until a few imbred primitives sitting in a shack afraid of thunder believed it. Yeah, that's much better. Who wants a person to think? I mean........if your parents tell you the sun is made of cheese you should just believe it without question.
