I just sent the following into the TFN for posting:

The Library of Congress' National Recording Registry has selected 50 recordings to be preserved due to their cultural significance. Performances had to be at least 10 years old to qualify. Some of the selected recordings include: Speeches by President Wilson and General Douglas MacArthur, tapes of Charles Lindbergh's arrival in D.C, Neil Armstrong's first words from the moon, and a diverse number of favorites ranging from Glenn Miller's "In the Mood" to Nirvana's Nevermind album. The choice selection to be preserved is the 1977 original motion picture soundtrack for "Star Wars", by John Williams and recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra.

I was just wondering which track most of you thought was the best on the album because I have a dial-up connection and I only want to download the best tracks. I've already downloaded:

Track 3- Battle of the Heroes
Track 4- Anakin's Betrayal (Downloading Now)
Track 9- Anakin vs. Obi-Wan

What other tracks do you think were the best, and try to give a description of how the track plays (i.e. Dramatic, Action, Sadness,etc)

I would have thought Palpatine's theme would explode into full chorus in this one. Hmm. Oh well, at least I have Return of the Jedi for that.

Although,
These are only selections from the score. The movie has much more music in it.

it's a really good soundtrack, much better than AOTC, my only problem is that i was hoping for battle of the heroes to be 10 times better than duel of the fates
