BEWARE of eBay DVD seller!!!

I ordered the Harold & Kumar Go To Whitecastle Extreme Unrated DVD (Widescreen) on eBay recently. I recieved it just today and popped it into my DVD player to make sure it worked before leaving any feedback.

First off, I clicked Special Features and the only thing in there was a trailer for Disney's The Haunted Mansion (Coming Soon To Disney DVD), which was EXTREMELY ODD since Disney has nothing to do with the company distributing H&K, but Coming Soon To Disney DVD??? The Haunted Mansion came out nearly a year before H&K.

Ok, so I didn't think anything of it at first, so I started the movie itself and it was recorded in a movie theater: bad color, movie theater projector scratches, the little white circle that appears in the upper right hand corner, subtitles that were incorrectly programed so they pop up when it's not turned on, the subtitles are also written in bad Engrish (Translated English from the Japanese).

Then, I don't know if any of you have ever noticed the rainbow text on the inner circle of DVD's where it has the title of the disc, but this one says: "Harold & Kumar Go To White CARTLE".

I'm demanding my money back from the eBay seller, and I am also reporting him to the proper authorities and eBay.

This eBay DVD seller's username is daymandvd.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!

I hate ebay everytime i order something it never comes.Amazon is a whole lot better.JMdie_pc

ebay is a scam. i saw it on a documentry. ebay takes peoples money and scam people. some even hack into your accounts. i get everything from Amazon. it arrives intact and in one piece. and its worth the price

🙄

No offense, but you guys are clueless. This, coming from an eBay Powerseller, with over 1,400 positive transactions, at 99.3% positive overall, who happens to make a VERY comfortable living on eBay.

Just because you got stiffed by some dork on the site once or twice doesn't mean all of eBay is evil. I've been stiffed on both eBay AND Amazon. Amazon sells their product through Barnes and Noble mostly, that's why you're virtually guaranteed your items. However, Amazon ALSO sells about as much through their independent storefronts.

Just don't paint all of eBay with one stroke. I don't appreciate it.

Well spoken Cine.

I've done most of my online purchases through eBay and this is the only time I've had any problems what so ever.

And like Cine, I also got screwed over on Amazon from an independant storefront.

ive never got screwed with amazon...

It hasn't happened to you yet.

It happens to everybody eventually.

I have never bought anything on Ebay, but I sell stuff on it, never give anyone any problems.

Must be very unlucky if you keep getting negative things from ebay.

I don't have a single negative feedback.

So far I haven't.

The description of the DVD claimed to be the original DVD? I could imagine some people selling their theater pirated DVDs through eBay.

Yes it was said to be the legitimate DVD.

Alright, just making sure. The best of us could look over a small detail like that.

Oh man, that guy is in for a treat when you turn him in! Pirating movies.

Eh, well, when I saw that Lance mentioned "Engrish", as soon as I rung the piss outta my pants, I soon thereafter realized he was duped.

If enough people report him, he'll get the boot.

I just ordered some software.. that is suppose to work with windows ME, XP 2000... and I start it up on my computer... and when I went to set it up ... it said the program didnt work with Windows!!!😠

I was so mad!!!! I only paid about $15 for it...so no big deal

I normally like ebay! but sometimes there are some scummy people 😠

there are crummy people on ebay. i have bought movies on there before and gotten copies. however, i must say that i have had little trouble with ebay and quite a hefty load of trouble with amazon sellers. i would have to estimate that about 1 out of 3 transactions with an amazon seller gets boched in some way. these sellers are often very rude and a huge hassle to get a deserved refund out of. ebay all the way! i both buy and sell on ebay and love it.

Exactly Cory. I'm also an eBay seller....not as big as you but I do it on the side. I've never stiffed anyone....but have gotten stiffed. The negatives I've received are from people whom I left negative feedback for not payiing.

If you don't want to buy from eBay...go DeepDiscountDVD....I've never had a problem with them.

Exactly...I bought a DVD on Amazon and I waited, and waited, and waited...it never arrived after the 21 day waiting period.

I contacted the seller, I was told just to wait a while longer and that it should arrive. A week more goes by...still nothing. I contact them again and they tell me to wait. I told them I wanted a refund and I even put a claim in with Amazon. Finally 2 months after buying the DVD I get a refund.

Assmonkeys, the whole lot of em.

Ive never bought anything from Amazon...dont see the need...

I sell on ebay too 😱... {thought I should say that too since everyone else is saying they sell 😕 -- it's good money ✅
