What about Dean Thomas? On JKR's website she says that she cut his story from SS/PS and CoS and that story was that he had always thought himself to be muggle-born but in actuality his father was a wizard who was killed by Death Eaters when he refused to join Voldemort.

He's a Gryffindor who's always just kind of there in the background. Maybe we'll finally get to hear his story and he will be a key ingredient in Voldemort's undoing...Or maybe there is another prophecy about a HBP and Voldemort gets really confused and kills Dean and this makes Harry really angry and he goes after Voldemort and they duel again, except maybe Voldemort uses Dean's wand so there's none of that brother wand interference. Of course Harry will escape, but it will be close....

intresting but we dont know if she'll intruduce a new character ???

hey everyone! i didn't have the energy to read through all 40 pages of this beast so idk if anyone has said this but, i think Hagrid is the half blood prince. hes half giant and half wizard so you never know.

no,but she said that it might never make it into the books because his story got left out so she could put in nevils story, which she said is more importent to the plot. .

anyone know if either of nevils parents are muggleborn?

The Longbottom's are a pureblood family, so probably not

But isn't this character already in the books? I thought that he/she had a small role in CoS. I don't think that it's Professor Snape, he's a pureblood. Remember how he acted to Lily when she stood up for him. "Get off me you mudblood!"

yep, i think people are right when they say it might be the hand of. . . i can't remember, but it was in the second book and in the movie. so i think its importent

Whay about Justin, or Ernie for the HBP?...I have a feelin one of them will be the HBP and the HBP will be the heir of Hufflepuff... According to what i think, the heir of Grifindor( Harry), Hufflepuf (Justin or Ernine), and the Heir of Ravenclaw(unknown) will join forces formin a new force that will have to defeat voldemort... They will have many follwres from around the world...The force maybe the order of the phonix... Its just a theory... It mabe wrong.... What do u think?...

snape... remember voldermort hates halfbloods because he is a half blood him self. There must be a reason why Snape hates halfbloods, his attitude to Lily, one of the reasons would be that he, himself is a halfblood!

But, somehow we messed it up! JK says something /someone very small will have a big role in the end. That could be the HBP, but not necessery, somehow we linked the HBP with JK's comments .... anyway this if fun, we can continue doing so until November or December when the book comes out !
