I live next to a corner store and rats basically live outside the store under the dumpster and in the bushes, they don't come into our house because we have a cat. But they are completely overpopulated outside, you go out at night by the store and you can easily find a bunch of rats. They get into garbage, spread disease and basically just cause trouble. If I could personally kill every rat in my neighborhood, I'd do it in a second.
TrueThere is no difference, either way it's not nessesary at all.
Up in my mom's house in North Carolina, they have a squirrel problem. The squirrels climb up their screen and such looking for food, chew holes in everything including wooden furniture and doors and stuff. They are probably an even bigger problem than the rats are down here. Well, scaring them off doesn't work for shit, we scare em off every 15 minutes. They've tried covering the things they climb up with a plastic tarp, didn't work. The dog won't do anything, she'll chase them around but once she finally catches up to them she just stares at it. So, my stepdad shoots them. Can I blame him? Nah, not really. If a bunch of squirrels started chewing up all my stuff, I'd probably shoot it too.
Sometimes when animals get overpopulated they become a nuisance.
same here

that's the narrow minded attitude which annoys me the most...hunting is NOT just an upper class sport..alot of people who work/go on the hunt aren't upper class..and they will all lose they're jobs and houses...all the dogs will get put down as well..it's criminal what the government get away with..

OK, I can see where you're going with this....they can become & nuisance. But the disease can't be helped so I think there is nothing to it.
Same with the squirrals, they are just animals that live in trees looking for food, in the end that is all they want. They don't mean to be a bother.
