That's not actually lightning, thats just electricity she is generating. Lightning is specificly when electricity travels between clouds and the ground. If she is generating as much power as lightning for an extended period of time, I'd like to know what is happening to all the electrons she is discharging,
lol
two words: Lightning Bolt.
Of course when storm lightning bolted the venom symbiote, she pretty much liqufied it and this is what caused it to scream (calling on the endless stream of symbiotes that took out the collecter).
In retrospect though, I think carnage only has a chance at winning this if he can peg storm before she takes off into the sky. He definitely has the speed to do it, and he doesn't usually waist time when he has the intent to kill someone. In all fairness I don't think getting sucked up into a tornado and hit with lighting is going to do him any good, but the chances of him taking storm out before that happens are just too great. carnage.

the writers and biographies describe it as lightning coming from her hands.
The writers also have wolverine survive a nuke. Sometimes writers just don't know how to better express something or exagerate. In this case they used the term lightning for a lack of a better term.
the creators and writers called it as channeling lightning through her hands- did you create storm?? no, so you don't get to decide what it is that she channels through her hands. even though lightning is a form of electricity you can technically call it electricity but in the comics she has called it lightning and all the biographies call it lightning.- srry if i came off offensive but thats how it is
sometimes science and pshysics don't apply to comics- does a normal person have powers?? can a normal person survive under water?? can people fly?/ can a person go in space unaided by any equipment and survive?? can a person move the entire moon??many times scienice doesn't apply to comics. the creator can call it what it wants because its his/her character. you can't just say well this doesn't make sence and change the whole thing
something i've noticed about storm while in the air... yes, she is extremely fast, but not agile... she typically cant dodge sh*t. So, why cant carnage just launch a few of his projectiles at her? It only takes one connecting to seriously harm her, if not kill her. And if storm is injured, the following projectiles will have an even better chance of hitting.
That's what I'm thinking. It takes time for wind to change and move her while she's flying. I'm not doubting she can get going pretty fast but she has to have very sluggish acceleration.
But I bet you will get a reply about how storm can dodge bullets because thugs are poor shots and the mach 3 thing again.

"#29 - Law of Melee Luminescence
Any being displaying extremely high levels of martial arts prowess and/or violent emotions emits light in the form of a glowing aura. This aura is usually blue for 'good guys' and red for 'bad guys'. This is attributed to Good being higher in the electromagnetic spectrum than Evil. "
