I think thats interesting... As sometimes crushes and some obssesions we develop around living people are kind of rooted in about as much reality as this example portrays.... And these chararcters are just blank canvasses for that I'd imagine....
The haver of the crush/obsession has often built up their own picture and perception of the object of their admiration instead of faceing the reality that they actually dont know the person... So they build their own version of the person in thier minds... Besides.... So many people fancied Betty Rubble didn't they.... 😉
I have a friend that has a mad on for certain anime chicks.
The dude is bordeline insane over it. Walls, notebook, car, everything covered with anime babes. Is that healthy?
No. But it's okay to like fictional characters played by real women. Angelina Jolie as Lara croft for example. It's wrong to lust after Digi lara, but Angie-Lara. That's hot.

Why?
No one is talking about marrying a damn drawing or
animated character.
One can have a drawing of a beautiful women be
sufficiently realistic that it can be appreciated as an
attractive, if unreal, woman.
It's like looking at those ancient Greek statues and
sayng that they have good bodies. Is that perverse?
Ofcourse not.
Or go over to the "X-Men" forum page, and see all
those female posters defending Gambit as a real
"charming" character. Are they sick? No, they're
just stating that as he is presented, Gambit is indeed
made to be charming to women.
If one can't appreciate artistic representaions of a
woman's face or body, then why have artists in the first
place. No one should be allowed to draw a female
at all, atleast not a realistic one, since to draw one is to
try to get viewers to judge "her" by real standards.
Bottom line, unless and until someone begins to prefer
the drawings/animations over the real thing, then I
don't see a problem.
If I see a well-made drawing of a woman, and I find
the women pretty, then I'll say so.
