KOTOR III

I'll comment from the bottom up.

I just think that the secret project is K3 and that it will be announced after ME. That's my theory.

About the layoffs, I think that it is very plausible that because they fired some people that it is just taking longer than planned and then since ME got so much attention, they decided to release that first.

I wnt that link. Gimme!! That's pretty interesting cause I didn't know that they already had the plot all done out.

Guys, I read somewhere that ME is not to be released until November. This probably means that ME wont be released until Christmas because people will want the big discounts at Christmas time so Bioware will wait till everyone wants to buy it.

That means that K3 wont be released or announced until 1-2 months after ME has come out because they do not want to take away from ME, which has been their baby for the last year.

This probably means that K3 wont be out until Spring Break or Easter or somewhere in there.

However I sincerely hope that I am dead wrong, because I want to play K 3 more than anything, so much so that im tired of guessing what is going to happen and all that stuff. That would explain why i havent posted in about 10 pages, where i used to post every day.

Peace

theres the link for the forum thats talking about what the creator of kotor comics has said theres also a link on there that goes to the interview as well 😄

....I don't know why you guys think BioWare is developing a KotOR-project. All the evidence points to it being Obsidian, if at all.

umm. really? Because I think that just a few posts ago, midgeon said that the interview hints at it being with Bioware. And there have been plenty other points that we made pointing towards Bioware. What arguments can you make it for being Obsidian and not Bioware? I would love to hear it because right now, I think I have every reason to believe it to be Bioware.

You know, there is absolutly nothing at all that points for it to be Obsidian. Just so you know.

actually there is absolutly no chance obsidian are doing it...ive checked out their projects...signed with sega...that sort of shows its gunna be sonic...and theyve pretty much announced all their games apart from the sega ones but its just so obvious its sonic lol....theres just so much pointing to bioware which I have actually pointed out quite alot through my time here...and plus ive also made contact with the guy who runs obsidian and he said that obsidain is not the developers working with lucasarts on kotor3 at the moment.........i got that email ages back, i dont know if I can salvage it from the 10day auto delete thing...ill try

right ive looked for that email and theres absolutly no way i can salvage it...i have the email address it was sent from and thats it :-( I did receive the email like ages back...ugh this is so annoying, im gunna try contact AOL tomorrow see if they have a record of all emails sent and received...i hope they do because that email could actually be proof about everything... :-(

You could always just email them again...

yerrr i know I could but that guy whos incharge probs wont email back again because I heard loads of other people have been emailing him recently and he just isnt replying to anyones......tbh I dont blame them, they must be really fed up of it all...but anyway ill have ago, I got nothing to loose so...ill get back to ya if I get a nibble! 😄

Yeah, I think I'll do the same. Wouldn't hurt. Maybe it'd piss them off a little more but after ruining the K2 ending, they deserve it.

What evidence is there for BioWare? The only thing that I've seen posted in this thread that would lead some to believe that BioWare is developing a KotOR-project is the unnamed "next-gen game" listed on their website, which isn't conclusive at all. Since they're already developing what will no doubt be a blockbuster sci-fi/fantasy game which is obviously SW-influenced, it would be a foolish move to announce any KotOR-projects so soon afterward. I've also visited the BioWare forums, and it has been stressed that BioWare wants to seek new IP and that they are not developing a KotOR-project.

What about the link about the KotOR-comics? It isn't elaborated who would be continuing the KotOR-franchise.

Here's why I think that if KotOR is continued, it will be Obsidian who develops it and not BioWare.

Check out this sentence: "[....] LucasArts and Obsidian Entertainment have confirmed their intention to go ahead with the project [....] without making a specific announcement about its release date," (emphasis added).

Well nothing there is for Obsidian doing it. They say they would be willing to do it, but they didn't do a good enough job to get to make the third. Bioware has a great track record for making RPGs and is the smartest choice. Nothing is really pointing towards any of them, but Bioware is the natural choice.

I just watched a video for Mass Effect and it looks to much like Kotor except it's real time instead of turn based and it's more of a shooter instead of melee. Think of GRAW combat combined with kotor story and dialog and you got Mass Effect. And you can use vehicles. It looks amazing. If this is as good as it seems, I hope Kotor will just blow me away.

Whatever. Its not like I don't want BioWare to do any further KotOR-projects, I just think its unlikely.

ME looks like one of the best games I've ever seen, and, if BioWare is developing/going to develop any future KotOR-games, I'd hope they'd be able to surpass ME.

I don't find it that unlikely.
The only reason why Obsidian got to make KotOR II was because Bioware was busy with other games (Jade Empire, Mas Effect) and they suggested Obsidian. Now that they have no big titles on their hands after ME it would be perfect for them to start working on KotOR III.

ive stressed quite enough that it has been prooven Obsidian isnt doing it...lucasarts would probably not do anything with them mainly because lucasarts had a torture press conference on how bad kotor2 was, which lucasarts blamed obsidian for...

...dont know if youve checked this out but people have been saying that bioware would not make it because they are busy with ME...well heres a quote about the next gen game direct from the bioware site

'BioWare has a team dedicated to a second, as yet unannounced next generation title.'

I emphasis on the word 'dedicated' means theyve hired a team especially for the project....you may think what it means by second, basically months ago they announced 2 secret next gen game projects...ME being the first one...and this one the second one if that makes sense!

so yeah just clearing up the image that bioware is able to do a kotor3 and hasnt got their workers like mulitasking on two games lol

btw Melcore...I suggest before making comments on obsidian doing kotor3 you should do alot, and I mean alot of research includes digging deep into the wounds...and then you'll find the answers and maybe look into peoples previous comments and think and realise whats really going on...

It should let the main player damage all of the Jedi.

He should be able to torture the Jedi.

Poke their eyes out.

Castrate them.

Serve them to higher dimensional species that do nothing but torture "Master Vrook".

Hurt, Kill or torture.

They must find balance.

Um...yeah? That wasn't sketchy...
