Lilith was actually the first woman ever, created by god along with Adam (not like Eve, who was created out of Adam's rib).
Lilith refused to submit to Adam's will, and left The Garden of Eden. God cursed her for her wish to be a independent woman (how about that ladies!). But since Lilith was a godlike being, God's curse made her one of the most powerfull demons in the biblical history, oops.
And by the way Uneek, the Adam thing get's you close to answer to the 'first vampire' question
