Pointless? Not at all. And the definition 'crap' is most inappropriate for those questions. There might not be a 'need to know', but T.M. made a fine varied selection of not to hard questions which cover topics that are important historical events or facts concerning this world.
And by the time one ends up in 8th grade, most of the answers have came across your eyes.

that is a strange question lol.anyway is it just to make our chest look normal... because without nipples out chest would look stupid.
Because we are used to nipples on dudes, so that is true, but not the real reason. Nature doesn't just add aspects of the other genders physics to the body for mere cosmetic reasons.
But even as nipples are not as useful on men as they are on women, there still is a good explanation on the why we guys have em too.
Ok, I've let this one linger long enough, time for the answer on 'why do guys have nipples':
Embryo's start of as female in any case. This because being similar to the mother in the early stage insures a faster growth, better transfer of nutrition's etc.
The foetus will change to it's definite gender, triggered by their chromosome combination (YY/XY), when the pregnancy is allready a few months in progress. Although the more advanced development of male/female organs starts at this stage, the embryo will already have nipples, as a souvenir from it's female start.
This also explains hermaphrodites, in who's case their body's grew up as female longer than usual and having a late, but not total, change in gender.
