Don`t need vast ammounts of iron in their bodies to be tossed around.. going toe to toe with Mags even without shields is a bad idea.

Mags iron rips people with normal amounts of iron in the blood. Needing an extra quantity was just in the movies, he manipulates even the smallest traces of metal in the atmosphere, even individual atoms. Tearing people in half like he did to the neos in 616 and to poccy in AoA can be done by manipulating the interatomic bonds
Vision failed to phase through the shields in the past, IIRC shadowcat failed too.
This battle depends on 3 factors: how long it'll take for SM to pound through the shields, how much damage magneto can deal out in that time and how much SM can take before being put down. These 3 are somewhat speculative, so it's a toss up. I personally think they split
(this part is not a part of my own argument) i heard some where that magneto could wrap himself in his shields...kind of like an aura making him capable of takeing blows from class 100's.....that was just what i have heard if its true or not i have no idea...i mean personally i have never seen an on panel feat like that myself so idk.....but yea if he had a shield up i doubt superman could phase through it because superman has to move his molecules to fit between the molecules of other objects like the flash to do this and magneto has made it clear that not even photons could penetrate his shields if he didn't want them to...mags has a lot he could do here but(and i hate to be "this guy"😉 i don't know if he would be fast enough to do anything to superman......

I think magneto can do it , more depending what's around magnus at the time of battle.
actually shouldn't magneto be able to put a shield on superman tightly enough so not even photons can penetrate it.....wrap that shield in metal just in case then superman would be cut off from his power source....so now he gets weaker the more he struggles and boom magneto could use the shield to crush him or perhaps stick him down in the earths core....make sure the hole gets filled in so that even if superman didn't die he would be stuck their unable to leave.....
that was all under the assumption that magneto would be fast enough to do any of this.

It takes a while for SM's stored reserves to deplete themselves, so cutting him off from sunlight wouldn't work in good time. Besides, magneto would have to constantly struggle against SM's strengh trying to break free to keep him down, unless he makes a solid adamantium block arround him.
However, dr polaris managed to depower SM by screwing with his aura and the way his body processes sunlight. DP has the same powers as magneto so it is viable for him to depower SM that way.

right, but like I said, magneto can harm and kill SM without even manipulating metal, by directly attacking his body. whether or not he'd get a majority in a fight is a different matter, I personally think this is a split or mags gets a slight majority.
attacks with common street metal might slow SM down and help negate his speed advantage.

I wasnt saying the death blow or ko would depend on the stuff around magnus, I didn't really say what I mean. I was trying to say be it in a metal less arena he is fuked but on a city built upon metal he could slow supes down a little. Maybe get to use one of his more fancy tricks. I was trying to reply to the speed issue.
But yeahh speedblitz should be off just to make it a better fight. A lot of supes villians should be speedblitz but otherwise can put up a good fight. Magnus could hang given the chance.

HHHHMMMM, 😕 Doctor poloris koed Superman with a speeding Submarine. Magneto can hurt supes with high speed metals.
