'twas a retelling of UXM #1. It's not PIS because it's the first issue of the franchise.

In fairness to that Magneto though he was old and had yellow teeth. He was rejuvinated in UXM 102 and then fought the X-Men and beat them in 102 and 112. In 113 they beat him. And he was hurt.

Supes takes this.

Exactly, these boards are flooded with scans and there's no context to it. Yes it's impressive.

But there's is context.

After the M'Kraan Crystal event the Phoenix was stated to have self installed psionic circuit breakers to manage her power. Claremont stated that the power level was around Storms with the breakers in X-Men Companion I inteview but I don't know how much value that interview has. After this issue Jean believed that the X-Men 2.0 died so that's when she met Mastermind in Greece and that's when he started removing these breakers using his power of illusions and a device designed by Emma Frost. During the DPS, Scott brought Dark Phoenix around with his love for a moment. Xavier then ambushed her and together with Jeans help they knitted back the psionic circuit breakers which she then shedded on the moon after Scott is taken down by the Imperial Guard.

Context people.

Uncanny X-Men #113 (Claremont & Byrne)

This is after the X-Men ambush him and knock him around. He does get his shield up in some instances and in others not so much.

And while it's impressive it's not as if he emerges unhurt.

Classic X-Men #19 (Reprint of the same issue with Extra content)

as I understand that, he was hurt by colossus and wolverine before phoenix's attack which did not affect him behind his shields, although it did exert his powers

i was speaking more of the fact that it wasn't full power phoenix, so can't be considered as such.

agreed, but I never claimed it could, and she was still powerfull enough to rank in the herald class

the low part, imo. and even then, her blast was enough to push him back.

I dont thik she was low. He was caught off balance and already wounded and exhausted. furthermore, the way colossus and logan of all people managed to hurt him can also be considered an example of PIS.

I don't consider her low either and its debatable that she isn't over high herald.

but him being able to block her isn't?

i wouldn't say it is, tbh, but it can go both ways, and the fact remains that saying he "took a blast from Phoenix unharmed" is incredibly misleading, no?

only if one is implying it was dark phoenix or something like that. I honestly didn't get that from the post

About as misleading as the Galactus part. Or "Black Bolt's scream".

Exactly, and then you really can't rely on just one issue. It's the entire Saga to know what was going on with Jean.

Uncanny X-Men #110

Here this is before X-Men #112, before Mastermind began breaking her psionic circuit breakers. It was explained that post-M'Kraan Crystal Jeans powers was capped until he started breaking them.Warhawk managed to do this to her:

Lol at these old scans being presented about mags. Magneto has been upgraded so much since then that's its ridiculous. Present some current stuff.

Kinda what I'm thinking it seems that to an extent these scans are being used to prove that Supes wins. Even if the feat wasn't that impressive and he sux he has alot of other greater feats.
