If your using a PC (not a Mac), open up your web browser, go to 'Tools' go to 'Internet Options' go to 'Delete Cookies' and for good measure go to 'Clear History'. That should clear it out at least on the surface.

mail your hard drive to the f.b.i. and they'll take care of it, free of charge

Then format your Hard Drive, burn your PC and just to be sure kill yourself.

That will not totally protect you. There is a file that stores every wed sit you have ever gone too. However, you cannot delete this file. You have to go into dos and delete it, but I would not recommend doing that.

Yes, that is why I said it should take care of her problem at least on the surface... The only way to completely protect yourself if you're trying to hide something you downloaded onto your computer is to literally destroy the hard drive disc(s) into oblivion. A very hot fire or extremely corrosive acid will do it. Magnetics can also work.

There are programs you can get to clean everything on you hard drive. These programs lift files off of your hard drive and then it scabs that location many times and then rewriting the disk.
The best thing to do is not go to those sites.

Because it is idiotic. Oh my clicked on a porn site, how can I ever sleep again, my priest might find out...boo hoo.
Damn, you're one hardcore dude. The girl asked a simple computer question, I do not think she was implying any sort moral dilemma.
Oh, it will not cost that much to mail a single DVD to the rhineland, let me know if you still want that video...

She was quite obviously implying it, read it again....
I downloaded quite a few episodes already, but thanks...

yes, but one would have to kill themselves by fire....because evidence may be stored in their dna. cant be too safe.
oh, and robtard, deleting your cookies doesnt erase all traces of evidence from your hard drive.

I agree... That is why I said "That should clear it out at least on the surface." to #1avalon fan and then told Shakymunison that to completely protect yourself, one would need to destroy the hard drive disc into oblivion.

"on the surface" doesnt matter. if federal officers seize your hard drive, they will in no cases just check for cookies. so "on the surface" is...useless. may as well do nothing
No sh!t?.. #1avalon fan asked how to clear cookies, I told her how and added how to clear her history. I then told her that it would only hide what she downloaded "on the surface" as to imply that she wasn't really hiding anything that way. I then explained further to Shakymunison that the only way to completely protect yourself would be to destroy your hard drive disc completely. I in no way disagreed with you, what is so hard to understand?
