Child pornography

it's really bad in P2P programs too, I was searching for a song by the dead kennedys called "a child and his lawnmower" (a short and funny song about a guy shooting his lawnmower for not starting) and got a but load of links to downloads.
There's a disturbing trend hackers and other miscreants who put spyware on your computer to redirect you to kiddieporn sites, record your activities, then turn you in to the FBI for a reward.
It's frightening how easily someone, government or otherwise can watch, control, or mess up your computer.

People are sick and like to cash in on other people's problems. It's a sick and exploitive industry.
As for why he was looking for legitimate porn, that's his business since legitimate pornography is legal and perfectly fine as long as you don't become an addict who blows large quantities of money on movies, extra memory, and subscriptions instead of getting a girlfriend. Sometimes people run out of spank ideas or need more ideas in the bedroom (though porn is probably not the best choice for new ideas).

To everybody said that formatting your harddrive would have any use your wrong...

It doesn't, even using a program like killdisk won't have any use, if they want to arrest you for wtaching child porn they will, but honestly why would they? They have more important fish to catch then somebody that went on a site like that by mistake...

And actually most child porn does come from Eastern European and Asian sites, its harder for the goverment to arrest somebody there... Out there its a very profitable industry so reporting it won't do anything, its not like the FBI can shut something like that down. No matter what international laws say.

They do it to get money. They would do it to their own children if they would get money from it... 🙁

As disturbing as child pornography is and that many choose to view it, I also find it disturbing that the gov't always knows what you are looking at and where you visit on your computer. The fact that it is so well known and so casually accepted is also a lil' freaky to me.
