What books should be made into movies

There are a lot of non movie books out there, what ones should be movies

porno by irvine welsh...the sequel to trainspotting

the catastrophist by ronan bennet

high rise by JG Ballard(the writer of "crash" and "empire of the sun"😉

cocaine nights also by Ballard

Anthony Horowitz' Alex Rider series..

Complicity by Iain Banks

Another story set in the great Edinburgh!!

Angels & demons(though I wopn't be able to see it since it would be R or NC-17)
Charlie and the great glass elevator(I don't know how it would turn out but I loved the book even though it wasn't as good as the first one)

Maybe I would like if they made a movie out of te hatchet too.

The Chronicles of Prydain would be cool. Don't think their that popular though and it's mainly geared to a younger audience. There was a crappy Disney version, cartoon, but I won't count that.

Solitaire by Kelley Eskridge. That would be a great movie.

"The Hobbit"!

Also, the "His Dark Material" trilogy.

They are being made into movies! If the first his dark materials movie is succesful they will make movies for the second and third book too. It's due to come out sometime in december 2006. The hobbit I think is coming out in 2009 but no one has a clue when it really is coming.

👽 Because they mostly have no material of their own to work on so they pick books with interesting stories and make them into films

Nothing wrong with adapting a book.

I have a few that would make great movies they are "This Present Darkness"and "Texes Angel" if they ever make those books into movies I would be sure to see them.JM

Poker Nation, my side of the mountain (theres a pretty old version already), The Catcher in the Rye

'You Shall Know Our Velocity' by Dave Eggers would make a great movie...

The Catcher in the Rye was so boring why would you want to make that into a movie?jm 🙂

The 'Sandman' Saga (dc/vertigo)
Although this would be EXTREMELY challenging to bring to a cinema format.

If you need an example of sacrilege, read the above quote. You can probably add ignornce into the mix...

Spot The Dog.

I can't say that I'm entirely behind books being made into movies. But, if I had to pick one...I'm going to go with Dante's Divine Comedy (Inferno). That would be interesting to see on the big screen. (Well, to me anyways.)

why not a series of movies of the Bible, from Genisis to Revelations

also, a quality version of the left behind books would be interesting.
