Yea. Thats it, just make it not realize that were here and that the scanner is just malfunctioning.

Ok! Roan quickly re-wires the droid's sensors so the information that would identify sabotage is bypassed. The droid cheerfully fixes the sensor without worrying about anything.

Then, Marcus does his Master-thing and gets everyone past the magnet.

Ok, next machine does not look good. The hopper pauses inside it for a moment, then an enormous piston comes down and flattens everything within!

(OK, that's easy. I'm getting out! )
"Oh, that does not look good!" Andro mutters to noone in particular, then to his fellow Jedi. "I say we get out and stay between the hoppers to get past this one."

can we keep it from crashing down using the force?

Just do the same thing as we did with the magnet?
Did anyone bring heavy weaponry?

Xeth's getting better with that sort of thing but it wasn't practical to bring heavy gear through the vent.

Force- no, this is way too much focussed power.

What about using the force "Saber THrow" to slice it or something?

I would think the piston is too large in diameter to slice through that easily.

Very much doubt that as well.

Plus, if we break it, we have to reprogram another maintenance droid.

Getting out of the hoppers and standing on the conveyor belt for the time being sounds like a decent idea, Andro.

Ok, but just to complicate things, there seems to be a sweep sensor at the far end of the machine that checks the conveyor belt for anything loose that has fallen out the hoppers during crushing...

Oh...that complicates things.

Can Lorn pin-point a spot on the machine that, if he blasted it, it would ruin the machine?

He could give it a go. Mind you, you reckon that if this machine fails the whole system will shut down and a dozen or more maintenance bots will come.

Hmm...

You did say it had gotten large, yes? Could we get off and walk to the sides of the conveyor belt?

Yup, but the machine blocks the tunnel.

Ok idea,
Blast the sensor, (again..) we go through between the hoppers, don't get recognized, then reprogram the matenence droid again...

I like that idea.

too many damn sensors in this place

OR... We could ruin the machine, wait for maintenance PEOPLE to show up, knock them out take their uniforms and use them to sneak around the fortress. VERY cliche, but hey, it's Star Wars!

yea but then they know were here, and thats a bad thing...

It is maintenance droids, not people.

You cannot get a good shot on that sensor from this side of the machine; you have sensed it, not seen it. Also, the more malfunctions you cause, the more suspicious it gets.
