Well, to play the "What If...?" game here, let's look at her death scene. She got shot in the back and fell over, but the mushroom obscured the view of her death. I found that a bit odd when I thought about it, because no one else's death was that veiled. Also to think about, the soldiers did fire an awful lot of bolts into her supposed dead body...
Could it be that she got away, and Lucas is teasing us? The soldiers could've been firing after her instead of into her lying body.
Just food for thought and trying to explain how it's still possible she could be in the tv series.
