House Of M

Started by long pig27 pages

Wolverine isn't bad, he's marvels most three dimentional character. Sure, he's usually written just as a cool guy who stands around and looks tough, but he's actually the deepest character in the whole MU.

So, basically, he got his wish to know everything of his past, he got it and now he knows something is wrong with the current reality, sounds like a great jump off to other characters, he'll probably go after spiderman first.
Isn't spidey pretending to be a mutant?

Wolverine isn't bad and most of the hostility misdirected at him is just annoyance at his overexposure... I have to add though if he is Marvel's most 3D character (which may or may not be the case) I'd say it's only because he's had so much more "screen time" in the comics than most other X-Men.

YES YES YES!!!

And he's badass, too. Shot down S.H.I.E.L.D. operative Nightcrawler with three arrows!

For House of M, I originally hated the Luke Cage character...but now, it looks like these guys will be helping him.

Olivier Coipel's pencils ROCK.

Well... The Thing's in it at least. The lady could IMO be vapor from the U-foes. The fire guy might or might not be johny. I haven't got the issue (only the previews) though so theese are speculations.

Nah I know fire guy isn't Johnny and it looks to me like he's Sunfire his body has the same look as he was drawn in AoA.

I know that was my first thought as well, but sunfire's like king of japan or something, seen him on a cover.

House of M #3 = too Wolverine-centric
Though has some nice background info on the HoM Earth.

Yeah, the Pulse was a funny read...but I don't wanna pay 2.50 for that later. I found myself actually wanting the stupid thing to end; I sludged through the articles. Anyone else notice Dazzler was dying in that little peice? Might there be a new Dazzler in New Excalibur, then?!

Anyway, Wizard 166 gave us an article called NEW WORLD ORDER: Where the Power Players Rule in the House of M.

Nation: England
Ruler: King Brian Braddock
Bio: The Braddocks have supplanted the Windsors. The relationship between Captain Britain and Magneto is the same as the relationship between Blair and Bush. They deal with one another on those events that relate specifically to the countries involved. If it's something involving British interests and Genosha, then Captain Britain would consult with Erik and vice versa.

Nation: New Latveria
Ruler: King Victor Von Doom
Bio: He's got a very interesting relationship with Magneto--the most contentious of all the world's leaders. It's definitely a 'keep your enemies closer' situation.

Nation: Wakanda
Ruler: King T'Challa
Bio: Some people are going along with Magneto's New World Order, and some people are just going to say "Do whatever you want to do--just leave us our little peice and leave us alone. And that's what's great about T'Challa and his little Wakanda.

Nation: Kenya
Ruler: Princess Ororo
Bio: Starting with her street urchin days as a pickpocket, even in the beginning, you always knew she was destined for greatness--and if there no X-Men, she would still find that route. She's got the personality for it, and her powers are very aggresive. She doesn't rule with fear, but there's fear there.

Nation: Genosha
Ruler: Eric Magnus
Bio: He's absolutely not a ruthless dictator. He never wanted to be. In the House of M world, Magneto is the one leader who actually earned his place at the head of the table.

Nation: The United States of America
Ruler: George W. Bush
Bio: The US bends over tremendously to appease Magneto. It's just survival instincts. There's a tendency in American Government to take the path of least immediate resistance.

Territory: Titan constellation (Outer Space)
Delegate: Genis Vell
Bio: If mankind is evolving due to the BLAH BLAH MOUTHFULL basically Genis Vell is the first Alien ambassador. Yay.

Nation: Atlantis
Ruler: King Namor
Bio: The Kingdom of Atlantis BLAH BLAAAAH BLLLLAAAHHHHH...

the guy is my favourite avenger... glad to see him back...

is it me or Mystique is beyond hot in this issue

Raven Darkholme = Pure Hotness

yeah, I thought those SHIELD uniforms made her and the other lady (don;t know her name) look sharp and super attractive.

Yeah, I really liked Drew. Those uniforms are cool...

Cloak was always brought down, IMO, with Dagger. Sure they had past together, but I like that Bendis just made Cloak cooler without saying a word.

I've got a question.

Does Wolverine see Cloak and DECIDE to fall into his void or are there no more cars to bounce on and he accidently falls into him? It was a bit hard to hell.

Looked to me like Wolvie didn't intend to fall into Cloak. Looked like Cloak basically just appeared out of the ground and swallowed him into the void.

What happened with cloak?

Alright, thanks.

Cuz the angles drawn looks to me like Logan sees Cloak with a normal expression on his face and then when he falls into him, it's just kind of a angled fall, like he wanted to do it.

But I guess not when he pops out with cage going NNYYAARRGGH!

Alright, so last issue I thought Luke Cage was a mutant, and Sam Wilson was a human and Cage was teasing him.

But Cage calls Logan "mutant" now...someone clarify Cage in HoM for me, please.
