House of M talk from me.
[spoiler] I picked up SECRETS OF THE HOUSE OF M and HOUSE OF M #4. Secrets I picked up as a handy guide, but I won't be getting THE PULSE: HOUSE OF M EDITION because those few pages of the pulse in HOUSE OF M #3 (or was it 2?) were ANNOYING to get through.
I see why the cover was classified. But what if someone passes through in the comic shop? Oh, well nevermind, its their fault cuz it was public knowledge for two weeks now. Yeah, so about this ish.
I don't like the Magneto scene. It's probably to deep for me to understand, but I don't get it at all. AT ALL.
Seeing Luke Cage's underground force is cool, but they're all mostly B-List heroes. Nonetheless, seing Felicia there is interesting. Some of those characters look cool though, like the Asian girl with the gun to the far far right. Cloak is COOL AS EVER. Thanks for the dissapearance of Dagger. Now there was a couple that was one word, CloakandDagger, but Bendis ripped them apart and it seems completely natural.
I thought Hawkeye's aim would be so precise that he'd hit only the tracker. Cool, though, that he does hit it, with a sharp blow to Logan. Knowing Logan, I thought he just passed out. Luke's people think Barton just killed him, so I guess its funny to see him get up.
Those sentinels are Iron Man, right? 'Sapien Targets Locked.' I chuckled.
Hahah, Cloak took them to Fisk's office cuz he knew it would be empty. That's great. That semi-profile shot of the underground is cool, if it was all Avengers or X-Men I'd buy a poster of it. (Speaking of posters, I bought the House of M poster. YAY ITS SO PRETTY!)
Too much dialogue, but its good. "Well, he had a couple of kids," Logan says, "Wanda--", but he's interrupted by Hawkeye. "The human one. Pietro, LORNA I THINK THIS MAKES IT OFFICIAL, DAMNIT, and Wanda. Wanda is the human one." WHAT THE HELL?! OMG THIS IS CRAZY + PSYCHOTIC!!! ARGHGHRGH!!!
Layla. She goes to a P.S. In New York, that means ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. Damn, why can't someone COOL save the day. Right, so SECRETS OF THE HOUSE OF M tells us that Layla is a mutant able to peirce the veil between divergent realities. PSH THATS SUCH A CHEAP WAY OUT OF IT. She's just going to show all the X-Men the truth now. BOO HOO HOW FUN. Such a bad and cheap shortcut, I'm mad. We were told she was seen in Issue 3, but its probably the little girl sleeping in the Xavier's Institute.
Wolverine says No... as they enter the Summers' residence and I realize why. Scott and Emma are dating, and when I hear that word I think of the bimbo cheerleader and the airhead jock. Dating...pfft, its such a trivial word and action; but I guess Scott and Emma AREN't married. Oh well. I can dream.
Emma looks SO COOL in that attire. I nice treat would have been an all white outfit, but we see her jacket is white. Good enough. All of her dialogue is great. Her memory is a bit outdated, because I believe she had brown hair in her youth. Something her miniseries said, but New X-Men and now House of M denounce. She looks stupid in her flash back of the New X-Men uniform, it only looked natural when drawn by the Quitely-Jiminez crowd.
I think with every revelation of the world the way it should be as an X-Man gets back to normal, we see more of the scene with the shadowed characters in the church. We see Xavier TERRIFIED and crying, and so I was RIGHT! He wasn't helping Magneto after all, in the beginning, he was actually held capture it seems. In the SECRETS OF THE HOUSE OF M, though, Xavier helped Magneto free the mutate-thing terror of Genosha and then dissapeared.
"This is Emma Frost, leader of the X-Men." Must of been a slip of the tongue, unless Logan accepts that Scott's rank is mentally lower than Emma's.
And THEN she gets to 616-NORMAL Emma, OMG ITS BLISSFUL THANK YOU BENDIS!
"House of Magnus!! HOUSE OF MAGNUS??!! Logan, we're gonna--we're gonna find Magneto, and, OH! That is IT!! THIS IS IT! We're going to KILL him! AND his kids!" She shrieks.
Me, laughing for ETERNITY.
Logan's last panel/line hints at the LASTING REPURCRUSSIONS stuff.
I never considered that. House of M is the first crossover I've experienced, and Issue 1 was the first comic book I've ever bought. I don't care much for the crossing-overs, especially since this is an alternate-reality-but-not kind of thing, y'know? Like, half of these issues will go to explain how everything has changed in the series that are crossed-over to. That just doesn't appeal much to me.
And in terms of Issue 4...I love how Logan went to Scott and Emma's place. He was probably heading for Scott, y'know, cuz the phonebook would list the Summers residence.
I'm new to these line-wide crossovers...does every crossover have a read order? When I saw that House of M would seep into a handful of other titles, I always assumed that you just read each one as you would normally. As in buy House of M 1-8, and read them in order. Then go to Spider Man House of M 1-5. Then read the Uncanny X-Men crossover issues, then the New X-Men ones...didn't actually realize that there was an order...
Hmm. Maybe I'll just learn eventually.
try lookin for one on www.marvel.com I think I saw one on the offical site?
