Feng Shui

Does anyone know of this bullshit? If you don't prepare to laugh your ass off.

Feng Shui is the belief that by moving your furniture around in a particular way, you will develop good kharma and as a result succeed in life. That's right, moving furniture = success, according to this.

On top of that, there are actually people who do this for a living. They are hired by some poor sap, go into their house, and "feel" the vibes in that house, and move furniture accordingly. This costs the customer thousands of dollars.

Humerously enough, on the great show "Penn and Teller: Bullshit" they proved this was, as the title of their show would suggest, bullshit, by hiring numerous "Feng Shui experts" to see if they were consistant with eachother. Of course, they were not. One "expert" would move a table on one side of the room, then another "expert" would come and move the table elsewhere, claiming that it's previous location was causing bad Kharma (keep in mind, it's last location was chosen by another, expenive, Feng Shui expert). This would continue for some time, they continued moving shit around, completely contradicting the previous expert, and then having another expert contradict them. No consistance = no credibility.

It's similar to astrology, in the way that it's totally stupid and only credible to guillable sucktards, who else would think that moving pieces of wood would increase your success in life.

Wow there truly are some stupid dumbasses in this world, here let me go move my couch and Ill create something that will get me billions of dollars. Pssssh bullshit. Where the hell do people come up with this shit?

Actually the whole money thing needs one to have a three legged frog placed with in a 180 degree arc near the primary door of the home, and upon leaving you put a coin in its mouth, upon returning remove it....

I know its pretty silly, although its one of those things that seem to have been around for ever and has a large following (a cousin of mine follows it and arranged my apartment, I thought the floor plan was tosh, so I moved everything back)

Yeah, that's another thig, it's like they go out of their way to make the layout as impractical as possible. On that bullshit show, they were putting stuff right in the middle of the walkways, and having shit in front of doors, it was really dumb.

That's it exactly. And I have always wondered how this "thousand year old art" is suddenly equiped to deal with where a lava lamp should sit, or what colour a TV should be.

For example, reducing clutter and increasing organization can make it easier for one to concentrate. Inconsistencies between feng shui experts are due to the fact that there is no single method of feng shui; there are at least three.

That doesn't make sense, how can one experts movement of a certain item be considered "unlucky" by another expert, shouldn't they all at least be able to recognize the good kharma caused by another experts movement of an item, even if it's using another method of feng shui?

Also, since when does organization include putting furniture in a walk way, or in front of a door way? If anything these feng shui experts caused MORE clutter and more disorganization.

I think it's a matter of decency here. I mean, I wouldn't put the bed in the middle of the room, between the door and the window, it doesn't seem very comfortable and I would probably wake up with an awful headache😬. See, I don't need a f*cking Feng Shui lesson to tell me that.

Funny, I thought Feng Shui was some kind of asian slang for a good-looking place 😑

There are two traditional forms of Feng Shui; the Form School and the Compass School.

The first deals primarily with orientations, and the second deals primarily with mathematics.

The Form School and the Compass School can be applied separately or in conjunction as the East / West School.

There is also a third, non-traditional form of Feng Shui called the School of the Five Stars.

The reason different experts reach different conclusions is because they are not practicing the same form of feng shui. Each school deals with a different methodology, i.e. orientations, mathematics, numerology, etc.

I has something to do with blocking the angles that would lead bad energy fields to come in contact with your body, I think.

I know Backfire,I think it is a peice of idiocy. My mom bought a book on it and it said things like placing crystals in your living room to take bad spirits away and to not have a bathroom. It was so hilarious and for those who understand it like u Black [email protected] don't know what to say....

The only aspect of Feng Shui I believe is that you should always leave the toilet seat down. Coz bad spirits come through the pipes or something. 🙄
