Official Doctor Who Thread

Just wanted to comment on the last episode. Very good, not sure I enjoyed it as much as Stolen Earth, but very good nevertheless. I always love the sad ending at the end of a series. Poor Donna. Davros' performance was fantastic and what he said about the Doctor was great. I loved that bit. Julian Bleach did the part well and was the best performance, along side Catherine Tate in that episode I think. Tennant was great as always. I always find it hard to believe people picking faults about David's Doctor/acting.

So the Doctor is alone, yet again, with not much to do... and so are we now on a Saturday evening...

I just need to point out again that there is absolutely no Master/Rani connection at all, that RTD was making a joke in that podcast, and the actual, physical hand used in that sequence with the ring was Lucy Saxon's.

Wow what a brilliant Finale.

So rose finally got her doctor then! And I am not completely sure that the doctor will be alone. After all he does have a daughter.

I always thought the Doctor and Rose had fallen in love, but he could never really allow himself to love her or be with her because he would live on for way longer than she would. But I guess in the end one doctor got to be with her. I always wondered though in the Billys alternate universe...if there was a doctor, but heck if there wasn't now there is.

The Doctor is always destined to be alone such is his curse, but he allowed Rose to be happy...i really enjoyed the finale, especially how it went from being a TARDIS full of his friends and companions to be empty said for him a real stark contrast...

That he doesn't know is alive.

(and hopefully it'll stay that way, I couldn't stand her. Hello there, Mary Sue the Time Lady)

And honestly, the "Rose gets her Doctor" scene felt so much like a bad fanfiction that was just shoved in there.

Yeah, after everything else in the finale arc I had kind of hoped Rose had matured past needing the Doctor. The Bad Wolf Bay bit just felt so different compared to the rest of the episode.

I'm with Peach. Don't want the clone daughter back in the series. Awful.

I thought the daughter storyline was awful...not as bad as the slitheen but still pretty bad. Season 4 had some good episodes and a rather good finish which was good 🙂

I do agree it felt somehow rushed.. But I guess the fans like myself saw Rose with the man she loved.

I think the daughter will be back. Why else was she brought into it.

I hope we get the docs daughter back and if i remember correctly Moffat liked the character so theres a very very good chance.
Georgina Moffett ,her character and two other things about her were massively popular with a lot of Who fans and im looking forward to her return.
There are far more annoying characters in the Whoniverse e.g Mickey
and as it looks like hes going to be replacing Burn Gorman in Torchwood(which he is doomed to fail..Burn can act) will it now be known as TorchWOODEN??.

4 days on i still hate the ending of the finale and agreed its like the fanwank that certain sad fans come up with to get one off.
As for the ring RTD did im sure in DWM say the hand was the Rani and a gift for future writers.
Though LS liking for red would explain the nail varnish.
Ill have to have another look.

Sorry to double post
im at work and missed the 15 min limit

And as for Dirva there are two female leads in the Christmas show and im just going with instinct that the black girl spotted on location with Tennant shooting in various locations will be the new assistant and join Tennant at the end to save time during the specials for other stuff
Plus theres never been a black assistant ..im talking skin tone before people say "what about Miss Jones ?"
As Dirvla K is quite a good actress i reckon she will be the getting the meaty stuff and will be the villian of the piece.
She looked pretty moody in the clip.
Thats just what i think.
You can all que up and kick my arse on Boxing day if im wrong.

AND the Doc is back on July 27th for a teeny mini segment as part of the BBC WHO prom with a "special returning guest star"
and the rumoured line "GET OUT OF MY TARDIS!!"

I've enjoyed this season so much. I used to watch it when I was a kid and hide behind a chair when the bad guys came on!

in all my years of watching Who i have never watched behind the sofa
although i did contemplate doing so when i realised the Doctor and Rose snogging rumours were about to become fact

RTD has done a Lucas there
hes ****ed up his own good work

Please tell what I just heard on LBC that RTD is considering changing the Doctor to a female after DT departs and the hot runner is Amy Whitehouse. bash

I suspect this is not serious as this would cause the show a big nose dive.

Like they would put Amy Winehouse, into a lead role in a programme mostly aimed at children...

He is an idiot if he actually said Winehouse as a female Doctor.

Could it be Alicya Eyo? there are rumours going around that someone who knows the actress said she would be one companion in the specials. But then she is like the 'skin tone' of Jones that you were on about...

Oh and as for Mickey in Torchwood, on his official site it said the following:

On DOCTOR WHO this Saturday MICKEY SMITH aka NOEL CLARKE (yours truly) is back. And probably (and as far as I'm concerned) the very last time. So any Doctor who fans make sure you switch on an catch your boy in the tardis for the last time. It is a great episode and fitting end to the season. I have to tell you all that I've loved every single minute of being involved in that show. Russell T Davies for me is a genius, and I respect and appreciate what he's done for Doctor Who. If you managed to sit through the end credits of Adulthood you will see that he gets an extra special thanks and mention in the end credits, as do all of you, the Doctor Who and Torchwood fans. I love you all… No that's a lie. I love most of you. The ones that have supported me and both shows. Lets hope we all move on to bigger and better things.

Take care and thank you.

Noel Clarke.

There is a chance he might not appear in Torchwood, let's hope so.

Agreed, also i don't think a female doctor would work, it breaks tradition and i never knew regeneration can change sex types, i just thought it was a survival mechanism.

I cannot make this clear enough.

No he did not

He was making a joke.

To be absolutely and 100% utterly UTTERLY clear, there is NO link there with the Rani at ALL.

Meanwhile, Koenig, whoever told you that is an idiot making the same mistake. And now already people here are calling RTD an idiot for it. This type of spreading foolishness is alarming.

Read original sources and learn to discern the serious from the comic!

Let's hope not, Mickey in Torchwood would be brilliant.
