Official Doctor Who Thread

Agreed, also i don't think a female doctor would work, it breaks tradition and i never knew regeneration can change sex types, i just thought it was a survival mechanism.

I wouldn't want a female Doctor, I'd like to see it carry on as a male lead, as it always has been. Unless I missed something with a female turn...

If he changed, does that mean he would be interested in males or females? Since he can remember everything yes? so he would now be a she with feelings still for Rose...?

I don't know the rules of regeneration.

Same here, it should just stick with being Male.

I cannot make this clear enough.

No he did not

He was making a joke.

To be absolutely and 100% utterly UTTERLY clear, there is NO link there with the Rani at ALL.
Read original sources and learn to discern the serious from the comic!

i didnt watch the podcast and as i read it in the official who magazine in an interview that was pretty straight i missed it was a joke

and in other fantastic news a certain classic who character/actor has been spotted on the set of the SJA
i hope this ties in with the zygon rumours and we are getting this "chap" on Who next year too

I don't think they'd have the Doctor regenerate into a woman, though they've spoofed it before.

I read Joanna Lumley was the Doctor for the special spoof thing yes?

Vintage - do you mean the classic character coming into Sarah Jane Adventures is

Spoiler:
the Brigadier
, also the
Spoiler:
Sontarans
are back in the Sarah Jane Adventures too!, can't wait for the third series.

I actually read a question featured in last weeks Doctor who. About him changing into a woman and i am sure that it states its highly unlikey.. But we never actually know these days what could actually happen.

It would certainly gross me out if it went in that direction. To me the doctor has always been well a man. And yes I know that somehow sounds sexist but to be honest I dont think i am the only person who feels that way.

I do however adore Mickey! And if he made an appearance in Torchwood it would give the show a boost for me. I for one hate Miss Jones and crossing my fingers that she however stays off my screen for as long as possibly. She was awful in Drwho and plain terrible in Torchwood.

I find it strange that John Simm is one of the bookie favorties to replace the Doctor, seeing as he played the Master...

I found the bookies favourites to be wierd too...

they still think David Morrissey is up too
as well as James (the most oirish man on tv.tm) Nesbitt
i reckon its going to be Rowan Atkinson

id like
a)Julian from The Mighty Boosh
b) The Pegg
or
c)Paddy Considine but hes a bit too Ecclestone

The bookies' favourites merely reperesent a reaction to public speculation, and both Morissey and Simms were so speculated due to misplaced spoiler sources- Morissey, for example, showed up as playing the doctor in the Christmas special. Of course, that's because he is playing an actual doctor...

here are the daleks from the Classic line of figures due AUG 21st

i only collect vintage Star wars figures as a rule but im going to buy the whole of this line
i wonder if they will bring out the prawn like big bad from The Invisible Enemy which i watched on the bus home tonight
id buy one!

I love the golden one.

The only one in that link who I would adore as Doctor Who is Stephen Fry, the rest are not good.

c)Paddy Considine but hes a bit too Ecclestone

Considine is nothing like him imo, at least we rarely, if ever, get a wooden performance from Paddy, unlike Ecclestone... Also hope John Simm as the Doctor never happens, just the Master please.

i think they are similar but there you go

I hear that certain string vest wearing classic monsters are in 1 of
specials as someone has leaked they have seen preliminary designs of them

could be b******s though
im hearing all kinds of rumours
McGann,Ace ,Brian Blessed,The One Doctor,"THEYRE BACK",Jenny,the return of the Master,fake Doctors,Fake Cybermen,ALS,Zygons,Sillurans etc etc etc
