Shocking news the Doctor is not the last of the time lords 😱 I just remembered Romana as I recall the Doctor (Tom Baker) departed company with Romana when she elected to stay in E-Space with K9, MK II in the story Warriors' Gate. 😄 Lets hope in the next series or some time in the near future, they unite together. pepsi

The Doctor has stated quite clearly that he is certain they are all dead. Now, whilst that might leave room for someone to have survived, even though he asys he is certain he would feel it, he wouldn't make such a statement unless he KNEW about Romana.
So clearly she's gone too.
All Time Lords would have been recalled, BUT what about Suzan?
The Doctor can only as we know regenerate two more times, but in the episode The Brain of Morbius (Tom Baker) when he did a spot of mind bending with Morbius. The Brain of Morbius pushed the Doctor way past his first appearance (William Hartnell) this would suggest the Doctor has had his 12 regenerations?
Or so Morbius was a time lord granted only his brain is left of him. This is the thing about Doctor Who, the issue of time travel very tricky.
Well we shall all see what unfolds with the New adventures of the Doctor.
No-one knows what those faces were- people he had met, or Morbius' past incarnations, perhaps. Point is, William Hartnell was the First Doctor- official.
It's not believable to think the Doctor is not counting E-Space when he says all the Time Lords are dead. It is a very blanket statement- he means it literally.
The 12 regeneration limit has already been addressed in The Five Doctors, so that's ok.

No he means ALL. That's the entire plot- last of the Time Lords. Not NEARLY last. Last.If the Master is still alive, the Doctor doesn't know it and does not believe it.
..........Yes that is what I meant, sorry I was trying to say the Doctor said it because he didn't know about the others.

I think when the Doctor says ALL, he means te vast majority, the master is still alive no-doubt.

I'm sorry. What? You do know that the Doctor is the same man yes? Just in a different body? Anyway the idea is he can do this 12 times, however to make the series last producers made it so that he could regenerate more than 12 times.

That was from a writers point off view, just not very clear...sorry.I'm sorry. What? You do know that the Doctor is the same man yes? Just in a different body? oh yes i know he regenerates i just di8dnt know what everyone ment about only 12 😄
Don't forget the Master was a crippled time lord who had passed his 12 and has to hijack other people’s bodies. I suspect only the time lord council could allow a new regeneration cycle. But with them gone the Doctor has to be careful, until such time when the writers bend or rewrite the rule book. 😉
