EDIT: also, he can't really be dead can he? I mean, we'd have heard something if he had quit or been replaced, right?
Looks like they used the Davros leek as a double to hide the Dr's regeneration, sacrifice the Davros secret, keep the regeneration one.
Edit: Wiki not a good source
I'd say not to believe the rumours, but some nutty ones from last year turned out to be true.
There is a certain payoff to the regeneration that I have heard a lot about that many spoiler sources are very set on being true, people who have built a good reputation. It's REALLY nuts though; I'll hang onto it I think, and say if it was so after.
I heard that Tennant was at the filming of the xmas specials to put off the press ...i hope this isnt true as David Morrisey isnt my idea of a good replacement
theyd never end an episode with a regeneration before the finale without the next doctor appearing before the credits...happened with Troughton/Pertwee but that was a long time ago and for reasons ive forgot
though on the other hand itll lessen the impact of a real regeneration in 2010 if this is just a cliffhanger that is resolved next episode
i reckon Tennant is back next week in some form or other and yip the hand i guess will play a part
Well, if he IS goingp which, let's face it, is unlikely but not impossible- appearances in the Christmas special and even next year's specials don't have to mean anything; they can be flashbacks or 'adventures during the life of the Doctor.' Therefore Tennant can do them but still be regenerating now. Stranger things have happened.
Not as strange as the rumours though.

Fantastic episode tonight!!
Oo when Donna was sitting on those stairs and was in her own world and was listening to a noise, 'two heartbeats' came into my mind?? or was it something else?
