USH'S LORD OF THE RINGS GAME PART 3- The Tournament and the Traitor

Started by Ushgarak132 pages

You guys are a little more bashed up than before; how do yuo feel about it?

Next group of opponents is a bunch of Arnorian soldiers...

What was that leaf we all had?

And exactly what sort of healing can Ellothiel do anyway?

Draaf leaf restores 1-10 hits.

1 point of bleeding on Anglomir can be stopped with simple bandaging.

What 'healing arts' do yoyu have available at this point, Ellothiel?

I am guessing it is a roll to see how effective the Draaf leaves are. How many of those do we have?

One each!

I'm thinking that Talin will need to use his as he is at half his total stamina.

Well, I can't seem to find the magic rules thread. But if I remember correctly, right now I have these two that deal with healing...

Level 1: Smile of Este
Level 2: Balm

I just don't remember exactly what they do, or anything like that.

Bumped the list.

As you are level 1, all you have is that level 1 one... which is super-binding, basically.

Well, if we've only got this round and the final to go.

Being 27 short of his total, Menelacar will munch his leaf, see how that goes. I think others need Ellothiel's skills this time, although if she can heal all of us this round and next then so be it. If, however, she can't, then he'll leave it at the leaf.

Yeah, Talin is going to munch on his Draaf leaf too in hopes of restoring some damage that Ellothiel's talent for healing and rest won't fix.

Ahh, okay.

Well, not sure how much help it will be but Ellothiel will use it if anyone needs it and it'll be useful.

Ok, back to this!

Basically a one or two point bleed is easy to patch up- you can actually take an action in a fight to tie some rags around you and reduce bleeding,. But larger ones will not stop and can even kill you after a fight. Your level one 'spell' will close larger bleeds.

Talin gets six back from his draaf, and Menelacar gets 7! Not bad.

I will give a free alliocation of medicinal herbs each story I think (in lieu of havign to keep track of minor expenditures), but do note that the ebst way to get decent healing stuff is to have good foragers and herbalists.

These guys you are up against look dead serious. They are all in chain. Two of them wear shields and maces, one a shield and an axe, and one big brtue is carrying a two handed axe.

Arnorian soldiers, correct?

Well, I think we need to rethink the tactics a bit here. How about, just to confuse them, we send in Ellothiel against all 4 while the other three of us dance around them? No? Oh well, just an idea....

Seriously, I reckon a slight tactical rethink would be good here. How about Ellothiel, Anglomir and Menelacar take one each, but go pure defensive on them, while Uber-Talin annihilates the fourth. Talin then doubles up with Ellothiel against hers, then we each double up on the final two.

Of course, this could result in all 3 of us being too badly mangled before Talin arrives, but...what do you all think?

the ebst way to get decent healing stuff is to have good foragers and herbalists.

Well, Ellothiel's decent at that too at least...will come in handy at some point I'm sure.

And hmmm. I'm not sure how we should take on these guys. I'm a bit hesitant to expect my luck at not getting hit to last, really.

Oh, stop being such a wimpy Elf! :-)

Seriously, I agree these guys are probably harder than we've met so far, which is why I think we go totally defensive and put our hopes in Talin.

And if Talin falls?

Then we're screwed anyway :-)

Otherwise we could stick with our previous tactics but I would think they'd be watching us in the last two rounds and may be wise to it.

Being defensive surrenders Ellothiel's 'strike first' advantage that gave you the easy win last time- that said, these guys are not quick on their feetm, being in Cahin and not anywhere near so well skilled-up as you guys; they all have negative Manoeuvre scores, so you are all quicker than them. So you'd all be giving that up.

If we're all faster than they are, then I think we should take full advantage of that.
