"How did he die? Simply old age?"

"Yes, he was very old I am afraid. It was a chest infection that finished him off. He was very famous in his time; he named Arvedui."

"And he was buried in the mounds right before the strange things started happening...."

"My word no! He was buried here. Though as I remember, he DID predict that that was going to be trouble there. He talked to that Dwarf about it."

Dammit Rex!
*Grumbles and harrumps off to interrogate Rex...*

(now that I've been pestered to death for forgetting about this....)

"I will be glad to do what I can to help." Ellothiel replies to the Prince.

(btw, definitely want to do archery for the tournament.)

You speak as the (mostly rather more silent) crowd starts to thin out of the area, Ellothiel, and as you speak, the prince catches sight of you, and almost double-takes.

"My my..." he says. "What manner of fair being are we in the greatest possession of fortune to see in our equally fair lands? Please, my Lady, do introduce yourself."

"My name is Ellothiel, your highness, I am a half-elf." Ellothiel replies, smiling slightly.

"The dwarf being Talin?" Darvan asks, "If so, I suppose there is very little else you can tell us... Now, I would be glad to show around some of the new arrivals, if you simply tell me of their quarters."

(linking you and Lana up ASAP...)

Gorlim tells you that Prince Elendur, the younger of the two Princes, is giving them his standard pep talk right now; he'll take you there.

"Ellothiel... what a beautiful name... and a genuine Half-Elf? Really? Byt the Gods, we are surely blessed! But you must tell me of yourself! Of your parentage, and where you come from... do you seek the destiny of Man or Elf? And what brings you to the magnificent Realm of the Dunadan?"

"My mother was an elf from Lorien, my father a human, though I do not know where he was from; I've chosen to follow my Elven heritage. I have been travelling on my own for a while now, and originally I decided to come here...well, because it's somewhere I hadn't been before. I'd heard of the tournament and decided that I wish to compete."

"But of course! I shall look forward to seeing you there." He sighs. "I would show you around now myself but I have many affairs of state to attend to..."

He looks around for a suitable escort, but keeps seeing commoners.

"Ah!" he says, locking his eyes on Kelvar Ainee, one of Arthedain's military scouts. "Be sure to stay by the side of this lady!" he orders. "A creature as rare and exquisite as her deserves our best attention!"

At which point Gorlim turns up, Palidan and Darvan in tow.

"I am honored, Gorlim." Kelvar says, then he looks at Ellothiel," I am at your service, m'lady."

*spotting the half elf, Palidan turns to Gorlim*
"I assume that we will be meeting up with Her and her companion..."

"Oh, well, any of the new people really, do it seems His Highness has taken an interest in this one..."

"Gorlim!" calls Elendur (and it is he who instructed you, Kelvar, not Gorlim). "You come bearing Elves! You must be reading my mind. Smart man, our Chamberlain..."

"I understand, your highness." Ellothiel says to Elendur, then turning to Kelvar. "I would be honored." she says, before glancing at the two elves who just entered.

Darvan gives her a smile, then his eyes quickly survey Kelvar and the Prince. Turning his attention back to Ellothiel, his smile widens, and he nods in greeting.

Kelvar watches as the Elves, walks in, and sees one of them eye him. He just stands there, waiting for this akward moment to subside.

(My character is incredibly humble. So don't expect much when it comes to talking).

(Blah! I'm not sure what court provedure would be, as in, do we let Elendur greet us first, introductions and things, or do we just treat it as a normal situation - I can't imagine that's the case!)
