Ah- back to Gorlim, then, because he's the man to see to arrange that kind of thing (the King being busy and all).

Well, as there seem to be no other plans...

Gorlim sadly dismisses your request to see the King, who is busy on matters of state at this point... though he is interested to know why you want to see him.

"We would like to discuss the prophecy made by Malbeth."

"Ah... yes. Well. No-one likes to talk too much about that, of course."

"Yes, I have learned that, but I think it has an perspecting on the strange happening s in the Barrow-Downs. Something which I was told to investigate."

"Oh, it has nothing to do with the Barrow Downs," says Gorlim, firmly.

"What Does it have to do with?"

Gorlim sighs.

"It was about Arvedui. It's all tied in with the name. I suppose this means you haven't heard the story?"

"Not peticularly"

"Oh very well, I shall tell you... we should find somewhere more comfortable to go first."

The palace is not lacking in comfortable rooms to meet people in, and Gorlim takes you to a particularly lavish one, and invites you to sit.

"You must understand," he says, "for a King od the Dunadain to name his own son, especially his first born son, has been an important tradition since... well the days of Numenor. At least. These names are important, and they all have meaning. You do not just jump in and mess with that at random."

"Yes, I understand"

Now, those of you who know some Adunaic... that's basically any Dunadan around... would be aware of this.

"Well..." says Gorlim. "Malbeth ordered Arvedui's fathger to name his child very specifically. It's something poor Arvedui has had to live with his whole life, of course.

"His name means 'The Last King'."
