USH'S LORD OF THE RINGS GAME PART 3- The Tournament and the Traitor

"What type of buisness?"

"Well now... this is where it becomes difficult. You know that Vardalain was a being a trusted, someone I knew well. He helped save the life of my daughter, two years ago."

Darvan bows to Ellothiel, offering her a wry smile,
"Well played, lady. I fear we shall compete again in the finals."

Turning to their audience, he appraises [him].
"And shall you be one of my opponents, sir?"

(I assume it's a him.)

Pressure would be on you if it is. The clapper is Prince Elendur, son of the King, with his entourage.

"Mayhaps I should be!" he says. "But my brother is more interested in such arts."

"I hadn't heard that."

"Did he not mention it? Modest of him. He and some others, like the Dwarf Talin, intercepted news that the Orcs planned to kidnap my daughter on her way back from the hunting season. Not only did they bring the news to her escort, they defended her to the last, almost with their lives. Such things build trust."

"Ah, m'lord," Darvan says, bowing, "I have no doubt that you both could defeat me. Will you be competing in the tourney at all?"

"It's your Highness, but let's not worry about that. I may yet do, I may yet do... always nice to impress... but what an odd sight to see, two Elves duelling in the war fields. I seem to remember the young lady and I met lately. Doing well, my Lady, duelling with one of the heroes of Baranar?"

"We were simply practicing for the tournament, though Darvan is far more skilled in swordplay than I." Ellothiel replies.

"You do yourself an injustice," Darvan tells her, "For a time, we were well matched."

Elendur makes a bow in front of you, Ellothiel.

"My Lady, the Elf speaks fair, and for one of your experience you gave a most creditable display. Do you plan to enter the Tournament?"

(rings RPing bell)

This game next for revided attention! (as Fire has already started).

This is part of my objextive of getting all RP projects running by the end of the Summer, as Star Wars starts to run out of plot.

The length of time it has taken trying to get this going- mainly because I have been too busy to pay attention to it- is a shame because there is a decent and engaging plot to this that fits in with the whole LOTR vibe rather well.

Trouble is, no-one has much idea what it is because ploy has been so sporadic. By the end of Summer, this will change!

Everything is set up now to unify the characters and set them out on the plot.

If anyone is interested in joining, do please go ahead and make a character. The thread is around... somewhere.

Ready and waiting...

Hmm I don't really know where to go with this, I want to find out what happened but it seems that the King only really gives out info to people he trusts intimitly and I haven't had a change to prove myself....

Heck, he's about to tell you the whole lot!

"I Understand, Vardalain was quite the noble one."

good good, plus we lost a few key players so that hasn't made ur job any easier. I hope things get movin fast

"I Understand, Vardalain was quite the noble one."

"Indeed he was, and as a high-born Elf he was due a certain measure of respect and status. Not to mention natural insight. I needed that.

"You know that we were... troubled by what happened at Baranar. Distracting our armies at that time proved to be a great disaster."

"Indeed, I don't enjoy playing catch-up to orcs..."

"It happens all too often. Please come with me," says the King, beckoning you deeper inside.
