"No bargain. Galadriel allows no Men within her forest. You come to report on us but we know nothing of you, save that you care little for us."

A-ha! Gondorian pride is not completely lost...

"Nay," Darvan replies, "We are here to aid the people of this troubled land. Though we did not know each other, after Baranar we have formed a fellowship of sorts."

Classic meets Classic! Bu Darvan switches tactic, going fully for the defensive. Menelacar gets the edge in terms of skill, but cannot get past Darvan's defence... no result!

"Perhaps," says Halatir. "We shall see. So then, Elf of the Golden Wood, you have come hgere to watch my men practice?"

Oooh, this contest is looking good! Menelacar switches to a power attack at the right time against Darvan's classic, rolling high for two turns in a row and scoring a hit! Two all!

"So," Darvan says, "Gondor's reputation is not misplaced."

"I hope not," replies Menelacar, "for there are few Men of Gondor here to uphold it."

At an exciting two all... I believe I need a move from Menelacar!

And both sides stick to the same, for another advantage to Mithlond! Yet Darvan's high defence saves him again- Mithlond is not quite there... still 2 al!

Oooh! Upset! Both sides switch back one move, which gives Menelacar anotjher advantage! Darvan;s defence cannot survive two bad rounds in a row, and Menelacar scores another hit to take the first set! Well done to the Man of Gondor!

Set two now starts, zero all, feel free to taunt or what-not.

[Taunting is not the done thing from a Gondorian Nobleman!]

"A lucky swipe, my lord. Well fought. I hope I have such luck in the Tournament itself! "

(BTW, how many Sets is it?)
