"Well," says Annphor, "we can worry about threats coming out of Angmar and Rhudaur all we like, but everything that has gone wrong lately has happened inside our borders. Someone will have to worry about that."

"What does the Council say of that?"

"The Council is in debate, as ever."

"But surely action is what is needed? If Arthedain's borders are compromised, the repercussions could be catastrophic!"

"If it could be proven."

"So why has it not been? Has the council not appointed investigators, scouts or the like?"

"Like I said. The Council is in debate. What I am stating is an idea, not a fact."

"Are there many on the council who hold the same opinion as you?"

"I couldn't possibly tell you that."

"Of course. On a different course, will you be partaking of any events in the tornament?"

"Ahh, no," says Annphor. "Aside from anyting else, I'm not as fast as I used to be..."

"Not even the riddling contest?"

"Alas no. I am no Bard, either."

He doesn't look eldery. But the middle-age of Dunedain is huge so it is hard to tell.

"Well, we are not sending an Army yet, but surely many of our kind have started to care.... Those like myself, Vardalain, or Pallidan here..... do you think that our aid is useless?"

Elladil was waiting for Pallidan to respond, but he doesn`t seem to.....

Morsire snorts.
