USH'S LORD OF THE RINGS GAME PART 3- The Tournament and the Traitor

Started by Fire132 pages

Ok cause I wanna get back in this soon!

Ok, as you guys know, with the ending of Star Wars and Matrix, I am slowly revving up my other games back to life. That being the case, this game is being re-started over the Holiday period.

I am trying to make sure I get a decent angle to be able to get such a re-start going with proper momentum this time.

To that end, could I have a confirmed list of players, please? I know Jazzman wants in- yay! I am also fairly sure the likes of Mithlon want to play, and with any luck some of the golden oldies too.

Speak up!

I still intend to play, even though I wasn't the most active person...

I want to play, if I have time for 5 games....but I will try.

Though there is a game that is of more interest to me than this, as you know...

Talin is in, of course.

You'll have Gwilwileth, sure enough.

Menelacar from Belfalas will be doing his utmost to save Arthedain from the evil hordes...

(That's great news. I'll write up tmy dwarf's bio and get in in soon.)

My Sword and Horse are at your command Master!

I'm in!

Haven't been here in a while, but I'll be in.

I'll play again.

Ok, looks good. I teach my last class for the year on Monday, so I shall get this up and running in the week following.

Count me in, as well.

Anglomir too.

Oh goody, hopefully my schedule will be back to some semblence of sanity by then...

Slightly longer than planned, but it matters not, for now is the time for the stories of Middle-Earth to return to the fore!

I am proposing the following to move us on and gets things back into swing immediately.

1. We'll call the Archery tournament over. Edmund won it (frankly he's awesome) but William and Gwiwileth are due rewards for their good positionsing in the final. The whole event has gone well, with three races represented in the final shoot out (and with a Dunadan being a winner, the crowd is happy too).

2. I have been struggling with integrating characters in with the plotline for a long time due to it being about a certain relationship established in the very first part of this campaign- problem being, most of those characters are gone.

So sod it, we'll start again there. Forget anything I've ever said about you guys being employed byh the King. You are all here off your own backs to take part in the Tournament and/or join the fight against the Witch-King (in Kelvar's case, this is his country, of course, so that's why he is around). All other plot developments we shall work out as we go along.

Some notes on that:

1. Talin- if you are in, then you genuinely ARE working for Arvedui. he trusts you as you helped save his daughter and are outsider enough that he knows you cannot be a link in the treachery.

2. Argentis- you did the realm a service at Baranar, and having been there you suspect the treachery also. We can say you are helping Talin, even if you are not 100% clued up on the whole deal.

3. Menelacar- the Gondorian Ambassador is more or less as we set out earlier- he's not keen on the whole idea of aid going to Arnor as Gondor has many problems, but he's even less keen on Fornost being trashed by treachery and in a rather paranoid (but sadly accurate) way he also suspects treachery- so he's asked you to keep a look out also. You may well have associated with Talin in that respect and he may have clued you in. Frankly the team needs you as both Talin and Argentis are more killers than investigators.

4. Palidan- see Argentis. If you are in, team needs you on the same basis as it needs Menelacar.

5. Anglomir- sorry, I've lost track what was going on there- did you change characters at some point? Wnat to make sure I get this right.

Ok, so before I kick off- does anyone need a plot reminder/summary? Jazz, we'll intro you in from scratch, of course.

I think a reminder/summary would be good as I can't remember much of what was going on, plot-wise (though being new to this game I didn't really know what happened before anyway).

Excuse me for saying so but: FINALLY 😛 A summary would be nice indeed.

A summary would be good indeed, but Talin is most definitely in.
