So, where does that leave you guys thinking? Going to start increasing the pace before too long as this plotline, neat as it is, has just been on ice too long.

Also- test of Strength time, I think! I've lost any notes I might have had on that but I'll try and pull something together.

Well, Menelacar is still leaning towards investigating Annuneryn further. No-one else on the council is raising any significant notice. I would like to find out what his father was degraded for, though.

He also goes for the Test of Strength by the way.

Where would I have to go to figure that out about Annuneryn? Along with the information about his father?

Well, where Menelacar is! Bot that he has found out anything about his father.

As predicted, Talin's useless to you there, and he wants to head off and do stuff.

Anyone from the cart crash group going for the Test event, btw?

-

"Murder?" says the city guardsman, who thought today was just going to be about traffic control. "Oh bloody 'ell..."

Are there no records about Annuneryn's father?

It merely records the fact of his removal from office; there is no context.

Is there another section of the library entitled 'Noble Degradations Third Age 1000 - ' ?

"Yes, a murder. Bodies are not usually hidden in carts, nor are they this cold. And unless I am mistaken, this is no commoner, either." Ellothiel says.

'twould be awesome, Menelacar, but no!

Well get onto this strength test thingy as soon as I have a few moments to think...

---

The city guard are not happy, and then promptly waste time asking roughly the same questions you did.

But as it is a Dunadan who is dead, the Stewards in the palace will have to be informed- at least he can be identified relatively quickly.

They seem quite weary at all this bother, but ask if witnesses could come along and make a quick statement. Sooner this is sorted the better.

"Well, of course, I will help." -Elladil shakes his head.

"You don`t often have deaths like this?"

William will compete in the Test of Strength!

... just kidding.

It seems we'll have to ask around for information about Annuneryn's father, since it's not turning up. Perhaps persons of import will show at the Strength test.

Ellothiel will go along, as she wants to figure out exactly what had happened.

Walker doesn't really want to be tied up in this but, alas, it seems it's too late. Rolling his eyes at the imperturbability of the elves, he goes along.

"Dunedain buried in a pile of... err... no, not often."

And so, off to the palace... although sturdy, it was not built for war and is it exceptionally bright and airy, with greeny and soothing whties abd blues all around.

The Stewards- lawkeepers for the King- are taking your stories as they try and work out exactly who is dead.

Is anyone mentioning anything beyoind the normal?

The test of Strength is in three phases!

A Rock Lift (straight Strength test)

A Rock Carry (Strength needed, but also a race!)

And a Rock Throw (Strength and skill required)

Basically, rocks are the order of the day.

Gwilwileth will state her concern that something feels dreadfully off about the situation. It is odd that a Dunadan should appear in a cart of refuse without the knowledge of the cart-driver, who does not seem to have left his cart at all for quite some time and would have noticed if anyone tampered with it (hopefully).

She will also mention the abnormal coldness of the corpse. Corpses are cold, yes, but this one is abnormally so.

"Well, clearly the situation is suspicious, my lady," says the steward to you in respectful terms due to an Elf. "It seems he has been strangled. The guards are questioning those in the accident now, but it seems likely the body was dumped there. The cart would have dumped the refuse a long way out of the city and likely the body would have been undiscovered were it not for the accident."

Fate works in strange ways, Gwilwileth. And all Elves believe in the machinations of Fate. They believe they are bound to it.

Did any noble lose a lot of land? (the opposite question from my other ofc)

Looks like some of Annuneryn's lands were 're-assigned' when his father fell from grace.

okie can I see who got what?

They returned to the Crown.

hmm the case is building, I mean he could have made a deal with the witch-king to get all, or more of his land in exchange for helping destroy a kingdom he doesn't like anyway.
